@SydneyForTheDuration 1 hour ago (edited) Noting aye the band from Melbourne Victoria Australia is singing about the great wilderness forests of South East New South Wales which were - and still are - being pillaged for woodchips for paper. "The forest weeps, last harvest tomorrow". "Eden" is a town on the "South Pacific Shore". Before forest destruction, it was koala fur, before that whaling, before that killing the locals. The chips from 400 year old trees are chipped to make paper "made in Japan". "Too old to move, to rich to ignore" may refer to the ancient trees there maybe. This was at a peak of protest late 80ies early 90ies. Sting also attended the protests. "Ghost nation" surely refers to the original Aboriginal traditional owners. This narrative is highly controversial in Australia and the song masks alot of this. They made a pitch in the USA and their talent was somewhat ignored. They sure are talented. The video I am guessing is an inspired retro-fit to a sci-fi fiction very popular now 25 years later.
