◆What is the HUNTER×HUNTER anime?
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 1998, HUNTER×HUNTER is an epic adventure story by Yoshihiro Togashi. Gon, the protagonist, who takes the hunter’s exam to become a hunter like his father and be able to meet his father, continues to challenge the “unknown” world with his friends, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika and others he has met in an ongoing emotional journey.
The TV animation HUNTER×HUNTER, based on the manga of the same name, was broadcast from October 2011 to September 2014 on Nippon Television and other networks, and is still supported by many fans as a work that portrays the new “Hunter World” while maintaining the passionate story from the original manga.

Indoor fish are cool, but he used them only once in the whole show. I would have liked it if he actually stole the opponent’s abilities like Seth in SF. There’s also this mobile game called VitaFighters where they have a legally distinct Chrollo who basically has randomized special moves.

It's common to focus on the anime references in these games, and very understandable in this case of HxH since the manga is in a problematic state. The only reasonable exceptions are like Jojo All Star Battle (ps3), that was made exactly in the time the Jojo anime was still on season 1 since it was a late adaptation of a manga that already had 100+ volumes at that point. It made more sense to cover the whole manga content than stick to the season 1 content.

In the anime it is clearly explained that the Indoor fish is only activated in closed spaces. They had to make a Nen room, so it made sense, like the Trick Room attack from Pokémon.

i hope indoor fish isnt the only thing he can use. here's some thing they can do. sun and moon - a short range explosion attack mantle - deflects attacks like in the anime shalnark remote controller - stuns the opponent the swaping hand thing (forgot what it was called) - swap characters with opponent (the moveset swaps as well)

It is lame that everyones super special unique ability seems to be boiled down to "hitbox with mildly unique animation". But whatever, I still wanna button mash in this game. For chrollo they could have made it so he can steal moves by either trading with the opponent, or counter hitting them. Im not saying it needs to be 1:1, there are ways to approximate the powers in the show without JUST using marvel functions you know?

They weren’t shown at all, at least this version of Chrollo. Yes he has a lot of abilities as a character in the manga but in a fighting game with almost no source material of his other abilities to pull from besides later in the manga this is probably the best they could do.

To be honest with you, I thought we would see more "flashy" abilities or at least a few more knowing that Kuroro was seen to have some stolen techniques and/or that we would see abilities that he showed that he had from the fight between him and Hisoka in the saga more recent of this manga, but I suppose that if this version of Kuroro appears it will be a DLC perhaps.

Gameplay and combos look amazing but I haven’t seen one super yet that I love…. They all lack impact which is ironic cause of the title. Don’t feel powerful at all and don’t have visual flare. Which is crazy since the devs are the same who made marvel vs capcom…. Plus I hope they’re adding DHC supers

I was expecting him to play like rogue from xmen vs street fighter where he can steal a move after landing a specific move like maybe having a stance where he opens his book and then another move, using the hand print on the book as a parry If it lands he gets one of the opponents moves This is 100% doable since the roster is so small and the game isn't very demanding in terms of animation
