This is one of the best reviews of any kind I’ve seen on KZbin. Extremely thorough, picture examples, functions, accessories. We’ve been looking for a way to keep track of our property at night. I’ve looked at several options but ordered one of these yesterday based on this review. Not sure I need the additional IR light, want to try it first and see if it’s helpful or necessary. Thank you for the review. I really like it, that you explained the functions and showed real pictures/films made with it. Some days ago I bought the same item with a different name some time ago on aliexpress and found your review today. It seems to be, that I bought a good starter for a first time NV user. I'm also planing to use an external light source. So I save the battery runtime of the monocular and see more. I really like the thing with the trail camera. So we can see how other IR light sources looks like. Maybe we can also see the light from some security cameras. I'm not planning something illegal. It is just for fun. Like "hey. I can see your camera is on. But you don't know that I know it."

Something else most people don't know is that you can shine IR light at a NV camera when its dark and disable it.

Great review my question would be what is the practical purpose of the unit if it cannot be mounted to a firearm ?

Thanks for watching! I think it would work well in surveillance or to look around your property without using light. It could be a good tool for night hunting (using as a scanner to see what’s coming). You could also spot for deer in areas around houses where you wouldn’t want to shine a light 👍

I bet that would work for night navigation too. That's the worst part about night fishing for me. Seeing where I'm trying to go if I need to move around some. I have a nice spotlight now and that's made things much easier on me, but that thing would probably be even better. It's a good bit more expensive than my spotlight though. lol
