I paid 2 bucks for my copy of Aliens which did not have a slip cover. Excellent release. I do enjoy your hunts; way cheaper than actually shopping in person. I picked up a sealed new copy of The Running Man yesterday for 2 dollars. Plus a John Wayne classic I have not seen, likewise sealed and in mint condition, with a commentary by Leonard Maltin. (Hondo). Some deals are hard to pass up. I'm still in a DVD stage, so prices are more reasonable than 4K and Blu-ray. I tend to invest in discs with commentaries and special features. I finally fixed my connection issues, and now regular DVDs look terrific on my TV screen. I count my blessings for this new phase of watching my enormous DVD collection. Cheers.😊

Hi. I recently went to a physical media store for the first time in about 5 - 8 years, out here in South Africa. I didn't pick up any Blu-Ray Discs and they only had 1 4K UHD, but i did pick up 3 DVDs. One of those is of my favourite comedy ever, and I owned it on the exact same version as the one I got, There's Something MORE About Mary: Ultimate Edition. The version I had of it was produced locally I think, because it had some local distribution companies name printed on the packaging itself and the packaging is nearly 95% identical to the British DVD I just got, but on the version I owned, the special features mentioned on the packaging, namely the Directors' commentary was not on the disc itself, so I had to pick it up. Yes I asked the guy at the shop to make sure it was on there before buying it, but I'm glad I got to go to that store, I use to go to their sister store in a different location that has closed down many years ago. Man I never knew I would still get this excited over a DVD, speaking of which, this movie need a 4K in the extended cut and Ultimate Edition TLC. It was a Fox title, So Sony could do it for Disney. I'm not even sure if this ever came to Blu-Ray Disc.

Passenger 57!! Epic pickup there. One of my all time favorite Snipes movies. We totally need that in 4k. I can definitely see that as a Kino release

Miller’s Crossing is one of my all time favorites but heads up on that Criterion release - the Coens made some edits that trim a couple of minutes of runtime from the theatrical release. Nothing that changes the story, but one funny line of dialogue was scrubbed and they tightened some shots here and there. So you might want to grab the studio blu ray to see it uncut while waiting for a Criterion 4k.

I had that collectors edition of Alien and Aliens on DVD. Unfortunately lent them to a friend whose dog chewed them up. I wish the 4ks had that artwork

King Ghidorah absolutely rocks! One of my favourite Godzilla monsters! Aliens is one of my favourite films. I have the special edition on VHS.

I found the same Aliens Collectors Edition at a Goodwill and I bought it. We know the movie is DVD but what we miss are these special packages and extra discs full of special features. No care is put in the package design anymore.

I am kind of partial to the DVD snappers. All my late 1990's early 2000's physical media DVDs were purchased through early days Amazon when they just sold books and physical media.

TV series are something I don't really think about. My picks for series would be The X Files, The Boys, Bates Motel, and I'd have to find something from Fantasy genre and Western genre. For Fantasy TV series I'd probably pick The Vampire Diaries and for Western TV series I'd pick The Wild, Wild, West (from the 1960s) and I'd also pick something newer like Hatfields and McCoys or Hell on Wheels.

should do hunts at goodwills or salvation armies and just look for stricly 4k movies. i randomly found just the 4k disc of superman red son inside a blu ray movie lol.

I usually dont buy dvd or bluray if there is a 4k... I have Aliens on 4k but this packaging was super cool and the dvds are only like $1.50 each if you buy 3... BluRay is the top quality for Mad Men as far as I know

I still have some WB snapper cases, like them just as much as other cases. I believe there are 6 seasons of Mad Men. That Aliens two disc pack is that a 5.1 or 2.0 audio mix? I always enjoy (I buy most of my discs second hand stores) hunting can spent hours in a store looking at every disc. Just give me widescreen format 2.4, 1.85 and an 5.1 audio mix 😃. My local well half hour away local I got season 8 of The Walking Dead on DVD for $0.25 (I told the cleck there were 5 discs in the case she said all DVDs are on sale)🤯. 4K, Blu-ray, DVD dies not matter to me. I only ungrade if the disc has 5.1 audio mix or some extra features. I do not buy films more than once unless for exact reasons. That digital code clock is ticking that is just a rental as far as I am concerned.
