The graphics just put COTW to shame and the fact that the scope doesn't bounce up and down like a ball is a huge bonus. What really takes the cake is that I bet their tech support will respond if you have a IG issue unlike COTW.

Cotw at the end of the day is an arcade game built for the masses that like to have a good time. Way of the hunter is seeming like a more hard-core player game that invokes realism and true accomplishment when you kill an animal. Also yeah, they are better at addressing issues far better than EW already.

I had issues with weapon wheel and EW got back to me super quick! Numerous back and fourths. They helped fix my bug temporarily and said the permanent fix would be out in next months update. Sucks that the bug existed in the first place but as far as tech support being there for me I was completely satisfied.

I really didn't expect to see this much attention to detail Irl you really need to judge what you are calling for with red deers. If you call pretending to be too strong of a stag then you risk nearby stags hiding, if you don't sound threatening enough then big stags will just ignore you It sounds super cool that they implemented few levels of calls

Minimum specs are a ryzen 3 3100 and a r9 380… are you playing on a chromebook or something? Those are pretty outdated/lower end hardware

My guess is that WOTH, with its higher render distance and larger map size than COTW, probably requires more CPU power than COTW does.

YES! I am hoping/couning on a lot of minor tweaks and improvements between early access and official launch. I just think how Call of the Wild was on first release and see where it is now and get excited for Way of the Hunters's future :)

I don't know how true-to-life the calling is in this, but in real life calling young reds is a little different to most other deer. You want to roar facing away from them, then move away and roar again . The idea is that they'll think there's a bigger stag leaving the area, so they'll go check it out once they think the bigger guy has left and it's safe. If you're not getting calls back you don't want to call too much. The only time you'd aggressively call a red, and even move towards it, is if you've got an older one who's calling back, which usually means he's willing to challenge you over his turf and he'll come charging right at you. In this case you can basically call as much as you want - they get so worked up sometimes that they can even spot you and it'll take them a few seconds to calm down and realise they need to run away.

It’s nice to see animals actually drop after you shoot them, unlike in CotW where they would run 10 miles and then de-spawn after taking a 30-06 through both lungs.

It's a bit strange that they have such an in-depth picture mode and not have either: the ability to move the animal around for the perfect photo, or proper physics to avoid the trophy clipping through the ground.

Yah mature is the oldest. I can't wait until more info comes out like how many game days it takes to change from young to adult to mature, how many stars a great genetic animal can gain within the age bracket etc. And a big question I bet is just how long before a mature animal dies of old age?

Also headshotting/Brain kills are more quick and less meat ruined. Harder target to hit but in my hunting in real life Doe's I always aim for head so I don't ruin the meat. Anything I'm mounting/Taxing I will shoot lungs/heart. Maybe that will work for this game?

So I'm really curious cuz I know this game was kind of created by the same people for Cabela's I want to know if the wolves and bears will attack you one thing I liked about the game back then was you can hunt deer and then all the suddenly ly you had to worry about the predator behind you no one has done a video on wolves or bears yet I really want to know how the predators act in this game

I heard scarecrow say on stream, he hasn't experienced any attacks. Neither did some other content creators. So I don't think you can be attacked in that sense. You can be overrun by animals and those hurt you, so in a sense; you can die from the animals.

I think it means trophy potential. if it has 95% or more genetics it could in theory reach 5 star. atleast thats how i understood it from Scarecrow.

@@ZuNk yeah I could see that in some I was just thinking the first buck that fainter had to shoot twice his genetics percentage was 83% percent I believe but he was only 2 star at mature I was just a little confused how his percentage was that high and not at least a 3 star or 4 seeing as how his 4 star whitetail was only 86 or 88%

@@chasepoire521 yea. From what ive seen genetics goes hand in hand with age of the animal. Like if you see a 95% 2 star mature its not going to get much bigger it will MAYBE hit 3 star. If you see a 2 star 95% adult it will probably hit 4-5 star

Yes they do. Three age brackets that I know of: Young, Adult and Mature. No one seems to know yet how many in game days it takes to change age etc.
