Fun fact: monitor lizards, which the megalania is related to, have a thing called gular pumping which allows them to pump air into their lungs while running unlike other lizards. So they actually can breath while running and it allows them to run down other lizards easier.

Just an FYI megalania is a monitor lizard and monitor lizards can actually breath while running. It's what makes them unique.
