While in Houston for TX2K, I couldn't resist visiting a few IAA Salvage Auctions to hunt down Wrecked, Stolen and Flooded Supercars! From Swiss Cheesed Lamborghinis to 'clean' $350k Aston Martins to Ferraris and even Hellcats and Corvettes!
I found some hidden gems that we will DEFINITELY be bidding on along with some cars that are, well, not exactly gems...

I think the a pillar thing and console panel lift is to do with the key fob antenna for the keyless start as that is where they are often located. In the UK many theft happen outside the owners home with keyless start using a lap top and antenna booster. It picks up the key inside the house and boosts it to the car and off they go in 30 seconds. We keep our keys in special pouches but tin foil is the same or put your keys in the microwave at night

Or just install a kill switch. Won't stop them from breaking into the car and probably do damage trying to start it, but they won't take the car and ram it into someone else at 180 mph and ditch it as your problem.

I've never even driven an Aston Martin , but there has to be a good reason why one of them that originally sold for $300,000 sells for about 50 to $60,000 5 years later . Unlike most cars that cost too much these ones tend to lose their value really quick . That's why Tavarish has a number of them .

I totally agree and in general I think that applies to most “exotics” that skew luxury rather than performance, with maybe the exception of the high end rolls market. Wouldn’t own one, but they sure are nice when they’re new!

PRO TIP:if you tie a string to ur phone put it on 0.5 and stsrt recording put it on 1 end of the car and drag it up under the car to the other end i do it all the time you can see everything!!!

On the gray Scat Pack in the parking lot with the hood tied down: they used an earlier model Hellcat hood on some of the newer Scat Pack models. I have a 2023 Challenger T/A 392 manual and it has the Mopar Performance cold air hood on it from the factory. It looks like the Hellcat hood that you have there minus the vents.

That thing you were holding in the ss was the auxiliary fuel system. Comes on at a certain boost level to active another fuel pump. Also the servo sound was the water pump for the supercharger

The ls400 toyotas are great all around. They do fix up pretty cheap, main things that rust up are the suspension components and the antenna bracket. Everything else is fairly typical of most cars, like the bottoms/edges of the doors, wheel wells, and underbody. Great cars, definitely a daily. Flipping specifically ls's i'd keep in mind Black interior goes for a-lot more, as in you may get 2k extra ontop of what you'd typically get just because of a black interior, even on a car that didn't originally come with it.

How they steal them is by amplifying the key fob signal, so I am guessing the key fob signal wires are in the A Pilers and all they need yo do is steal your key fob signal and amplify it next to the car. We deal with a lot of theft recovery and they all have popped A Pillar.
