I visited Guangzhou on a regular basis from 2005 - 2010 and I became very familiar to know the right spots for the right things. Whenever you buy a rolex or any high-end watch at that always bring a jewelers loupe look at the machine cut finishes on the edge of watches if they are not high-end machine cut then It's pretty easy to spot a clone also good to look at the dials as well with the paint or enamel they will look hand done or very poor machine quality as well also goes for the fonts and numbers.

No debes comprarlo nunca y te explicare porque, si no puedes pagar un Rolex eso reloj no es para ti, puedes comprar otra marca mas barata como un Seiko por ejemplo, si compras una imitación / réplica de un reloj de lujo estás fomentando que esa marca desasparezca porque si nadie compra el original la persona que diseña relojes y mecanismos de lujo también desaparecerá y después ¿Quien diseñara o hará los relojes que todo el mundo copia? Tienes que tener la mente mas abierta, si copiamos los diseños originales, el esfuerzo del original no vale nada, es tan simple que no entiendo como la gente compra una copia sabiendo que no tiene nada que ver con el original por mucho que se parezca.

Good clones use many materials same as real brands such as 904L stainless steel. Generally you will know it's fake as the strap will make more jangly noise. The Bezel wont sound as solid when you move it and the watch is lighter. Many will lose many minutes of time over a week. Some of the better super clones have a swiss movement inside and are hard to distinguish from the real ones and you will pay upwards of $700. Quality is way better in real ones but in real ones 50% of the cost you are paying for the name. Overall a super clone is a personal purchase and can just about tell you the time but obviously wont retain any value and you cant sell it on if you are honest

Haha ! Was living in China in 2006 and a lot of those fake watches still look the same design and finish (20 years on !)….. some of them aren’t even based on an actual watch just a stylised fantasy of it (the IWC chronographs for example)…..IWC never produced a watch like that ! I bought a few and ALL of them broke within a few months/years, in some cases just a few days (somewhere in a land fill in Hangshan there is a Rolex I threw into a bin when both the hands fell off it and the crown stopped rotating). What’s funny to me is hearing them dropping ‘Taiwan’ in as a guarantee of quality, goes to show what the ‘real’ opinion of Taiwanese workmanship is in China. But I doubt ANY of it is made there.

Many so-called "made in Taiwan" products are just slightly better quality than normal ones. Foreign-made = good (relative to normal). We should not take it too seriously. People like to simply use the region or country to represent the quality.
