The dnr in most states for at least deer only issue out a certain number of antler-less tags to control the population here in Michigan. But hand out way more buck tags as u can almost kill as many as u can and if u leave the does the population will still grow.

I’ve only every killed on wood duck. We hunt in the marsh in Louisiana and there is no timber around to hunt in. A wood duck is hands down, the prettiest duck I’ve ever killed. And that’s out of greenheads, black mallards, gadwall, teal, pintail, and many more.

Its really cool you made a less expensive call for everyone but to really compete with inexpensive calls 30-35 bucks would be the price point to hit. Dont get me wrong it seems like a good deal but there are many great calls for around that price. I would buy a few for that price. Sweet videos man keep it up

Up here in Montana we got a bit of crazy limits on ducks all falling under the 7 ducks overall limit... 1 pintail at max, 2 redheads maximum, and only 2 hen mallards maximum. So we gotta kind of be careful on drakes vs hens anyways and what kind of duck you're shooting

Shooting hens is alright in my opinion but in moderation. Actually the first duck I ever killed was a hen mallard that was banded. Been hooked ever since.

I think they all eat the same. I do agree a little bit we shouldn't take out all the hens. But one or two every now and again isn't going to hurt the population. Flair it's kind of like Shootin deer you can't eat antlers. Every Man Flair should have a cabin like that that hunts. I thought the first room was nice. Then you open that other door and that's the shitt excuse my language. I don't know if you've ever tried this recipe. Marinate your duck breast and McCormick steak marinade for about 4 hours in the fridge. Take a meat tenderizer hammer and flatten them out pretty thin. Take a piece of pepper jack cheese just a bit smaller than the size of the breast. Add a jalapeno pepper roll them wrap with bacon throw on the grill till done. Would love to see you do that recipe on a catch cook and clean.

Having not been bird hunting myself my question is how the heck do you tell what they are in the first place. Watching videos they all look the same in the air on camera. Is it easier in the field to tell what they are? I hope to find out myself one day but haven't had the chance yet.
