Well Muttonistas , some great Beamish was to be had in Dublin , a couple of real “Creamy Beamies” amongst them . However some pubs had either run out or weren’t serving it . And although I slightly prefer Guinness, Beamish is a great drink, worth trying if you’ve never had it before .

I switch to Beamish and Murphy's when im in Cork. Its good to see where to get Beamish in Dublin, thank you for the video. Bowes is probably the only one on that list i would go to. One thing to note, unless the Beamish tap is in regular use the liquid can go a bit off in the pipes and taint the pint.

Well that’s true for Guinness as well but obviously less likely to happen especially at the Harold house and anseos where many punters were drinking it into form . But if you think that beamish goes off more easily/quickly I’d be interested to know about that. J O’Connells was the only pub where I was a lone beamish drinker and even that was decent.

Hey Mutton! I'm a huge fan of yours, seen most of your videos, and I just watched Daragh Curran's video that you're in. I have to say I've always been so curious what you do professionally and I was fascinated to learn about your bridge career. I think it would be so cool if you incorporated some of that side of your life into your content! Some of my favorite videos of yours in addition to your Guinness crawls have been your hot pot and other chinese food videos. I would love to see a video that incorporates drink and food obviously, but if you happen to be traveling for bridge, it would be so cool to get a peek at that world as well. I'm not even a bridge player myself, but I think it's cool and unique side of your personality that I wasn't aware of till I watched Daragh's video (even though I'm much more familiar with your videos). Anyway it's just a suggestion and I'll love and support your content no matter what!
@primemutton6 ай бұрын
well the issue is that bridge players don't watch vlogs and social media too much, and the game itself is slow and boring to those who don't watch it. a hotpot and Guinness in Dublin is a possibility though . if you watch my food videos , they do contain beer or wine unless I'm in an islamic country
@clinton_messina-fr9ly6 ай бұрын
@@primemutton Yes I love your food videos with drink! I even think if you showed a shot or two of the tournament, or spent a minute talking about how you played in laymen's terms. I think it could be a cool additional dimension to your videos especially if your traveling to a specific place to play bridge. I've really enjoyed watching your videos since I found your channel a couple months ago, and now I am coming to Ireland for a week this summer for work. I can't wait to try many of the pubs you have gone to in Dublin and Galway. I'm also coming to Manchester in the same trip if you happen to be out drinking I'd love to come buy you a pint!

I think properly speaking 'A pint of Plain' referred to a pint of 'plain porter', which disappeared from Irish pubs in the early 70's. That's what Flann O'Brien was talking about in his poem 'The Workman's Friend' (A pint of plain is your only man..)

Hey Mutton, I have dreams of traveling to Ireland one day. I do not drink out at bars regularly here in the US. But when I go to Ireland I will definitely be having a few pints. I am very nervous about bar etiquette though in these small local's pubs, you should do a video on your process for ordering your pints. What do you say? Do they have tabs in Ireland? Can you use a credit card? How do you get the barman's attention respectfully? Things like that. The small things really do kill me lol. You can't beat a bit of mutton!

You’ll be astonished at how easy it is Ireland compared to the US. You won’t even have to speak, the barmen will do the talking for you. “What can I get you?” You just say what you’d like and that’s it! We nearly ALWAYS pay as we go here in Ireland.
