I'm going to give you a really good piece of advice. Go to a restaurant supply store to buy some stainless steel mixing bowls and a couple different size French Whisks. They are dishwasher safe and will last you a lifetime. And they're often less expensive than those found in department stores or kitchen specialty stores!

The lamp matches your dining room perfectly! The color of the base and the ribbed ceramic looks like the bead board on the bottom half and the shade matches the top part of the wall.

Tostones are plantains. The way we make them is by cutting them up and frying them, then we smash them and refry them. They are soo good and we eat them with literally anything. So yummy!

the cabinet hardware is actually the perfect color in my opinion. the warm pewter goes perfect with your paint, i don't think they need to be any warmer or brassier. keep them as is :)

Those are tostones chips made from plantain. We make them from actual plantain with garlic, but not as a chip. Love the pillows.

MaCenna while I was at the dump this man pulls up in an SUV and opened his trunk and he had tons of boxes with old books he was tossing in dumpster..I said you throwing them away he said yes do you want some so I helped myself and got a lot of old books for decor..I thought of you when I was going thru the boxes I said to myself boy would MaCenna love this and best part it was all free..❤️

If the cabinet knobs you bought are steel you can heat them up with a propane torch & use a brass wire brush to transfer the brass finish to the knobs! I did this recently for door knobs I bought on eBay for some french doors I have in my house and it turned out really nice!

I think the six knobs are really nice for the bookshelf cabinets, and you could use rub•n•buff if you wanted them to be gold. The size looks perfect, I think. The teapot is adorable. You’ll have shelves in the coffee pantry, won’t you? Maybe you can put it there. The reeded glass lamps are a real score! They’d be beautiful on a dining room buffet or something like that. Please take us along to the flea market!! I’ve missed you and your mom’s trips to the flea market.

Love those flower knobs and the lamps! ❤ One small suggestion. You might want to consider planing the top and bottom edge of your cabinet doors just a smidge so they are completely straight. I did that on my DIY doors and it really took them up a notch. I got the ryobi corded one and it worked great!

Content suggestion/request: tools and how to use them. The other day, I was so interested in how you installed the sandpaper sheet to your palm sander. I've had one like that a couple years, but have been stymied because I didn't understand how the sandpaper attaches. Sometimes provided instructions aren't very helpful. I since learned because I asked my brother to show me I still haven't begun my project (prepping baseboards for painting) because I don't know what grit paper to use. It was very helpful when you showed us the product to seal your painted cabinets by the fireplace. I didn't know such a product existed. More videos like that, please. I'm less interested in shopping or applying makeup. TY.

Tostones are made with green plantains, if you liked those, you would LOVE freshly made ones. Cut the green plantains into rounds (around 1'' each), fry them until light golden, take them out, smash em with the bottom of a cup or a plate, fry 'em again until golden. Some garlic salt and giiiiirrrrrlllll....let me tell you. Some mayoketchup on the side and smile for hours

Tostones is a Dominican dish, we (I am Dominican) slice the plantains and fry them for like 2 min on either side, then we take them out to smash them and Fry them again for extra crispiness. You can add seasoning but we only add salt to taste usually. We eat them as a side dish. What you had was a "chips" version of that.

Hey, before you use Brasso on the knobs, try cleaning them up first with some Bar Keepers Friend. It may be that the tarnish is hiding something pretty underneath. If you like the patina, just use a toothbrush to clean around the edge to see what's underneath.

Hey! Advice on blow drying your bangs, blow dry both sides together up and back over the round brush. Once dry let them fall and cool. If you need them to go back a little more, use the technique you used in this video. I hope this helps!

Tostones is what we call fried plantain when is green in Puerto Rico. When is ripe is maduro, is really sweet, and we eat it with meats, rice

TOSTONES they are from Puerto Rico and Cuba. They are made of the big long green banana. We cut it in 1 Inch , fry it , take it out and squeeze it and fry it again . I Love them ❤❤❤❤

To me, the ceramic lamps seemed to match the color of the bottom part of the walls in the room you were filming in. I love them. I remember you loving and finding some "ribbed" clear bowls. Laughing because that EXACT throw blanket you got at HomeGoods, I have it on me as I am watching you. I absolutely love that throw. You know how some throws make you too hot or don't keep you warm enough? For some reason, it keeps me at the perfect temperature and is so comfortable. Loved it so much, I went back and bought two more. Also, no matter how many times you wash it, it remains as good as when you got it..including the fringe.

Yes tostones are fried green plantains! They are delicious and we (in the Dominican Republic) eat them very often and with almost every meal. They’re the yummiest 🫶🏽

Hi MaCenna! You and your mama are so precious together! I absolutely adore the banter between the two of you. You’re simply two peas in a pod!!! Here’s my two cents: For the shade-less ribbed glass lamps, please consider using a Vintage Edison Medium Spiral Tube Filament Bulb from Edison Light Globes or any amber colored 40-watt bulb. I’m not affiliated with this company. Edison bulbs have an amber glow, which is a really chill vibe at night with a few well-placed candles. For the built-ins in the LR, you may wish to consider 5” brass rods that match what you used in your kitchen for cohesion. The flower knobs are very cute, and I do like them, though perhaps they’re better suited for bedroom side tables or a wide 3-drawer chest in a bedroom which skews feminine? You can go either way, of course. Mull it over, then trust your gut feeling. Love your vlogs!
