You asked for a bear recipe so here's one we really like. Except for the backstraps and tenderloins, we grind all our bear meat into burger mixed with only 5% fat so it's quite lean. Our favorite recioe with ground meat is to make cheesesteaks on a griddle such as a Blackstone. Super simple. On one side of griddle cook the burger; on the other side sautee some colored peppers, onions, and mushrooms (morrells). When veggies and meat are cooked, mix the two together on griddle and continue to heat and blend flavors. Slice a fresh hoagie, (toast on griddle if desired) and lay down a bed of your favorite cheese or cheezwhiz on that. Then spoon the meat/vegetable mixture to fill hoagie and top with more cheese. Soooo good!

Oh man that sounds absolutely DELICIOUS! Just curious but do you cook the ground bear longer than you would typically cook ground beef?
@richsheeper1963
@richsheeper1963 Жыл бұрын
@@SkynicHunting Not really. Like most burger as long as no red is showing it's done. We maybe pay a little more attention to that than we would with beef though.

In Bhutan it is believed that the pacrea of bears contain the most valuable medicinal value. It cost too high price. But it is illegal to kill or sell it's pancrea. It is also believed that when someone eats bear meat, they will be healthy and no deases will harm them because the bear eats many different herbs that contains high medicinal value.

Stay young as long as you can cause those hunts are grueling physically wise as you both know. Epic hunt, Epic footage and you guys rock. Bear hunting has always been a passion of mine and I'd love to go grizzly hunting but that hunt is a bit much for my budget. I've shot 7 black bears now and the one I shot in 2009 was my biggest and I took a bunch of fat and melted it down and I use it on all my work boots or any other leather goods and its the best water proofing you can have. Congrats on a beautiful bear and be safe out there.

you should rendered all the breast fat and out those oil in a mason jar… the best thing is cube all your bear fat and in a cast iron pan, on medium heat so your pills not burnt…

We ended up rendering it all down when we got home and did it at a lower temperature and got a much better result!

Almost Hard to watch, you had a perfect shot for 10 minutes. You pack too much stuff, makes you slow to shoot

It's a nice bear but most good hunters take care of the kill before anything else.....very poor ethics
@SkynicHunting
@SkynicHunting Жыл бұрын
Most bear hunters don’t even take the meat just so you know. It was a 30-45 minute detour to get Nicole and literally nothing was wasted. If that’s not ethical than I don’t know what is. Most people will wait longer than that before even looking for a shot animal. So your comment of poor ethics is very much misplaced.

@@SkynicHunting I understand that sir...but first priority is the meat... above all else...I know they don't keep the meat on Alaskan brown bear...it's just something for the dam tree huggers to pick on is what im trying to point out
