I bought a Tsport that was owned by members of 2 of the largest 1%er clubs in California. I was able to track the history and the members. I still have that bike among others.

Man I love your channel. It’s great to see all these old bikes but the best part are the stories you tell about them. I learn something new every day from your great info on Harley history. I’m an Evo fan big time with my first bike being a sight unseen ‘90 FLSTC. I wish H-D still used the simple model numbers. Now there are fifty of them so I guess maybe not.

I have somewhat similar story with my chopper. I got it from a friend who was connected with HA and the story on mine was that someone owed HA some money and gave up his chopper to repay the debt. They didn't want the bike and decided to sell it. Luckily for me I was looking for a bike and the chop just ended up in my lap. It was a 69 sporty xlch long chop with a girder front end. I was the only one in my town riding a chop in the late 80's everyone got to know the bike because it was my daily ride for 15 years before she finally wore out. I still have her to this day and am slowly putting her back together.

Good ta see you're back on! Man, that scoot reminds me a lot of the one my brother had years ago.. His was a '58 FLH with a Pan/Shovel. He wanted a wide, Wide, WIDE Glide... So he cut his own trees, about 2 feet wide. He used some weirdo brand of dirtbike fork tubes that were both hydraulic and air charged, and ran a 21" spoolie on it... He could fill those forks with air and they'd extend to about 6 feet or so... Or let it out and they'd shrink to about 40 inches long... Totally Kool! Hey- GREAT SEEIN' YA!

Nice scoot. You're right about having to tell a buyer about the club bike. Club? Lol. Term used very loosely. It's a gang bike and yes if someone was caught riding it not in the gang, they were dead meat! Especially if the bike belonged to a high ranking member that died. It was used as a memorial to a fallen brother.

J Tetlow a pan shovel is where the motor has Harley Davidson pan head frame and pan head jugs but the rocker boxes are off of a shovel head.
@NS-yl6wj4 жыл бұрын
J Tetlow that bike is a pan shovel. Basically it started its life as a stock pan head. In the mid/late sixties shovelhead top ends we’re put on pan head bottoms ends as shovels flowed better than stock pans. From 66’-69’ shovels came with pan bottoms and shovel tops from the factory. It wasn’t uncommon for owners to convert their pre 65’ pan head top ends to shovels during the late 60’s and 70’s.

@HuntingHarleys4 жыл бұрын
Yes, Panheads were made 1948 to 1965. And as soon as the Shovelhead was introduced in 1966, the hottest thing to do was putting a shovel top end on that old clunker Pan and chop it

Somehow your not seeing the H. I did not try and videos the number. But if you know numbers, you know all 57s had FOUR numbers after the letter, so you're not seeing all the numbers for some reason. Got a floater in your eyeball?

I loved watching his vids for the real bike attitude . Didn’t like his very patronising attitude . Makes me smile he now lives in hotel selling the odd bike with a victim mentality . Feel sorry for his wife though .
