I grew up very near here and it's where I found my love of hiking, it's also the very first place I ride a horse. I love the trails here because of all of the ruins you come across and the mansion is the topping on the cake! This place just has a special feel to it for me.... There have been goldfish in that fountain area for as long as I can remember and that shrub is a mop cypress. There is also an old greenhouse off the start of the yellow trail and the old swimming pool is around the back of the mansion off of an overgrown trail. Can you imagine how gorgeous that must have been???!!

It sounds ad if the place holds a lot of nice memories for you. I did see some of the ruins earlier in the day, an old farmhouse from the 18th century and I will I be posting that video soon. I wasn’t aware of a greenhouse and old swimming pool in the area. I absolutely have to go back. Thank you for watching, my friend. Now that spring is here I look forward to your upcoming videos in the garden

Another great video! I enjoyed it! Kinda looks like my "estate"? I could live there! Beautiful stone work.

Hi Dave! it's so big that you could probably just move in, and nobody would even notice. ; ) It really is a beautiful place and I'm thinking it'll be even nicer when the garden is in full bloom. Thank you for the comment and also for watching!!

Wow. I absolutely LOVE it, thank you for sharing! Just one note: It looks like you COULD have your breakfast at that table….you would just have to haul it in from wherever you live…😂

Good point...I think next time I will haul it in along with a tablecloth and some nice china and silverware. Thanks for watching!!

Nice, Ridley Creek is one of those state parks I visit the most. I'm not sure if they are still doing this, but they were renting out the mansion for weddings and events. I know lots of people come up to those gardens for family photos and portraits. Such a beautiful mansion and gardens.

I'm thinking that they probably still do because the inside was open and empty. Perfect for a wedding reception. Ridly Park is really nice. Earlier that day I hiked the blue trail and saw the old farmhouse ruins. I was there a few years ago but I sort of forgot how impressive they were.

@@jennsylvania1633 Blue trail is a good one. It's a great time of year to see it better when the trees are bare and things aren't overgrown.

Oh yeah, I'm sure they could tell a few tales. 😉 It was pretty nice the day i shot the video, but nothing like today! It's 70 degrees here in Bucks County.

That almost looks like it belongs in the UK not PA haha. Awesome find, I need to check it out one day!

yes, exactly! If you ever find yourself in Delco you should definitely check out not only the mansion but all the cool trails in Ridley Creek State Park. Thanks for watching, my friend!
