Hey Joe :-) Dissapointments go with the hunt, every hunter knows and accepts that. Its a good idea to show how a hunt can fail, this gives people who are against hunting an insight of reality. Where I live (west Europa) you have to do 20-30 sits to master a wild pig, so I don't have to say how manny hours this involves but thats the thrill of the hunt. Go on making good video's like these.

Also!! I dunno about your state, but the amount of petitions I've seen flying about recently and super sudden changes in firearms rules lately, has been ridiculous! I lived up the Cape for 30 odd yrs and we held meetings in Cairns with local members, council and National park’s officers petitioning them to license hunters who qualify thru background checks etc to hunt national parks etc and they were all words an not one of them wood sign their name to it!! The parks r overrun with pigs that will come into ur camp at night and wander across the road in large mobs in front of u in broad daylight and we were not even allowed a dog or firearm in our vehicle 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

When shooting at an angle (declined or inclined), aim low. Because the distance to target is not linear over the ground, it is the hypotenuse. Many a young hunter such as yourself has sailed arrows and bullets over the backs of game by not taking this into account, or having never practiced it. Suggest you go out one day with a paper target and give it a go at various angles and distances.

Am a bit surprised you even asked for our opinion. Hunting is not about the shot and the kill, the hours of glassing, stalking, prepping, etc etc... it is all about the hunt. the anticipation. The hand gestures and whispering on your stalk gets you in there. If you can add the hours of anticipation you had while waiting for a movement that would be gold. A hit would be great, but we all know we miss (occasionally....) keep hunting, but importantly keep filming, and more importantly buy some extra batteries (keep 'm warm on your body)... ;o)
