Great job! How deep? How many did you get? I was with Captain Andy last year and ended up with 275! He is great!

Hi Roger! Was I working the boat the day you went out with us last year? I worked a couple hundred trips last season... they start to run together after a while :/ Congratulations on your 275! That’s a nice haul. Much of the footage in this video was shot by Cpt. Andy and I when we went out - just the two of us- in October of last year. Do you remember the big white coolers we put on the front of the boat for lionfish? Between the two of us, we filled almost 3 of them on that day. So, somewhere around 250-300lbs of lions. - Carl

How much per pound are the fish markets and restaurants paying for lionfish in 2024? Any idea?
@wooddawg48682 жыл бұрын
Spear fishing has had a major effect on the lionfish worldwide and has controlled them on the reefs. At this point here in 2022, there needs to be synchronized lionfish hunts worldwide so none can escape. Then for the deeper waters, robots can use electricity to kill them on site individually whether their recovered or not because the goal is eradication at those deep depths.

Some of the lionfish look good sized. Tasty fillets. I wish they could ship them Nationwide, so we can all get to try them.

Rob, I shipped some to a friend in texas a few weeks ago......

I hear they're good eating. We're up by the Canadian border, shipping frozen lions would be cost prohibitive. Maybe somebody will figure how to fish the deep water and sell them commercially.
@Merakidiving6 жыл бұрын
Yes, overnight shipping is definitely expensive. You should come down here for a visit, go out with us and shoot some for yourself!

Not exactly a difficult task, they just wait for you to spear them.
