Hunting Mayday Signals in Space Engineers #9

Me and a mate hop back into our Space Engineers Survival Playthrough. I aquired a new grinder ship inbetween episodes so I could get to work cleaning up the hunks of space pirate debree drifting in our area of space. Between this and Goose buiding himself a lage grid mining ship we manage to gather a large stockpile of most resources we could want for expanding the base or future builds

@@HumanNuggets sounds like a plan, me and one of my friends have been playing through a survival series, we are currently working on a 2 km long space station

Since the introduction of plates, i stoped using blocks. Best addition ever. Builds are strong but light. Large grid bases have a smaller footprint and saves resources big-time.

I still don't use them too often as they create seams with a lot of the shaping blocks that I don't like

I didn't even know it was out tbh; I haven't been playing much of anything after a bit of a mental health slide. I'll at least still check it out and see if I enjoy it now, and if I do then I'll for sure make a video

Yoo, im enjoying this series dude, keep up the good work dude, I completely understand how you feel when making gunships, it's so hard to get them to work properly and just end up blowing themselves up

@HumanNuggets yea, I know how you feel there, have you tried using the autocannon? It's so much better than the gatling guns, it does have a slower fire rate but it does way more dmg to key components, I do reccomend using one gatling turret tho, my weapon module had 2 of the static autocannon guns, one turret variant of the autocannon, and a turret gatling gum, it's so useful for targeting weapons on those mayday signals

I've tried the staticauto cannon before; but my aim sucks. More than anything I think using the gatling turrets is the satisfaction of a bunch of guns spooling up and just throwing an absurd amount of ammo at something

@HumanNuggets yea, that feeling is the best, I am using the autocannon turret, you don't have to be good at aiming with it, since autoaum is a thing, also those hired gunships from imber incon are xwing based, I blueprints one for my ship printer, I redesigned it and made it into an actual swing, with autocannons at the tips of the wings, also has a few warfare gatling guns hidden inside it

Also I never knew you could put small grid with large grid until I started watching you, it's great because now I can arm my orbital station

I see your taking quite some time sorting inventory one at a time Something i discovered is to have the both storages selected one on the left and the container you want everything in on the right And hold Alt and just click on the items you want moved and itll move them and sort them for you I hope this was clear enough cause i suck at explaining

Thanks, that's handy to know. I'd been putting off adding the sorting script block to this base as it was starting to cause some weird things to happen with the crafting menu back down at the planet base

@HumanNuggets so.... uh You dont even need to hold ALT Double clicking will be enough Having the containers selected(highlighted) And double left clicking the items Would be enough There ya have been holding down alt for no reason for 140 hours

Huh, I could swear double clicking will transfer the items but not sort them Entirely possible I'm wrong though

Anyone know why they quit posting videos? I just found these guys and was really enjoying them playing space engineers. Does anyone know why they haven’t posted any more videos?

Space engineers initially stopped so we could come up with some ideas on what to do. Then I had a bit of a mental break and was no longer able to enjoy playing games, resulting in lifeless, monotone videos whenever I did try recording. It still makes me happy you watched the videos, and I'm glad I could provide you with some amount of entertainment
