😂😂 think he’ll be making an upgrade before the next one. I rate it for sure, just get it with the club price don’t pay full. I find if it gets wet it still stays warm wicks the water away quite well.

Thankyou!! Yep she’s got a thermal undercoat and a wee swandri to go over the top😂 always in the pack for when it gets chilly but oddly enough we had very warm dry weather over the weekend so no need. strange considering the time of the year.

I agree not the right calibre for the situation but just a stepping stone, and must note I’ve seen plenty of deer hit the deck with the 222. I also think the calibre had nothing to do with what happened in this situation, he missed the first shot the second landed in the guts as you can see in the slowed down footage. doesn’t matter how big a calibre you have a gut shots not dropping a stag. And had to finish it off with a neck shot which dropped it on the spot. By no means was it immaculate shooting but considering it’s his first stag in a rushed scenario and nerves being high he did great to finish it off as quickly as possible.

@stephenhall5430 this is not USA perfectly legal but I’m not disagreeing with you mate, it’s the wrong calibre just my brothers first rifle and first and only stag with the rifle. I believe shot placement is a hell of a lot more critical than calibre size. Like I said the shot was off a 300 mag hitting the guts isn’t gonna drop it just like a 222 won’t. As you can see with the second shot it was lights as quick as any large calibre, He’s already eyeing up a 243 for his next hunt.

Yea mate was a bit hairy😂 the exposed ridge seemed to be the only spot we could find to camp which was a shame. Ended up chucking a few big rocks inside while we were gone didn’t think the pegs would cut it😂 cheers!!
