Unfortunately, wind doesn't seem to make much difference in this game.

Just in case anyone else, like me, is finding this 2 years later, wind does matter. Maybe they patched it in later, but they do smell you of you're upwind from them. There are ways to note wind direction, like dust clouds in the air. You can also buy wind powder, you puff in the air to check direction, and scent neutralizing sprays to mask your smell. You can also buy animal urine for attracting same animals to a sprayed location by smell.

Late to the party, but... how do you actually claim a hunt? Said its supposed to appear in the lodge to claim, but no such luck

@timothycraig1536 it's not in the LODGE but in one of the cabins on the map. If you leave the map without claiming its gone

Should u shoot only male animals or is it ok too shoot both?

You have to stick to male animals because you get penalized for shooting females.

Yeah it’s just for gameplay purpose, they don’t want the game to be too simple. You can see that they didn’t add a .22 lr rifle that is used to smaller animals
