Walkers Cay is the most beautiful and abundant ocean environment that I have ever seen in my life. 5 pound lobster, snapper, and grouper everywhere you look in only 10-20 feet deep water. Thousands of wild dolphin and some mighty curious sharks !

I like this story, normally I hate rich people for their greed and selfishness, but something about this story is different, sure the guy is rich and finding lost treasure, but this footage of this story is so beautiful I can not blame him, he is not polluting or destroying the environment he is actually cleaning up lost jewelry and making jobs for the locals, I really like this operation, I think its a awesome lifestyle and adventure.

The best way to find sunken treasure is to rent an under water magnetometer.. you go back and forth over large areas waiting to get a hit on the screen Rememer even though mel fisher took over 15 years to find the 700 million dollar treasure..not many realize he only searched for a few months per year.. usually april 1st he hit the water Plenty of treasure to be found in st augustine area

The atocha treasure is still under mel fishers company amd they will allow you to search and get to keep a small % of what you find. I know 2 families found a gold chain very long and the other 7 gold coins. The amazing thing is they both found that treasure under 10 feet of water Paul allen had his mega yacht also searching for sunken treasurs.. thats when they found the old japanese wwii sub🤣

That’s what and how the USA operates in the Caribbean, Latin America and other places around the world. The US gov ok’s US banks to “Loan” local governments money for their socioeconomic institutions, for the people and after the local elites take their cut They soon discover they can’t pay it back. sSo American companies move in buying the loans and buying natural resources extremely cheap. The us companies end up running, indirectly, the local government and the people slowly but surely get more indebted. Then they have to sell more and more. Gentrification starts and the country that was home to strong local indigenous population now becomes a minority in their own land. But that land isn’t theirs anymore.

This how dirty the State of Florida is. They recently denied a treasure hunter a claim on a Spanish treasure ship but are allowing Spain to lay claim to it. There is a weird Florida law that claims if it was a military vessel within Florida coastal waters, then its "known" country of origin can take possession. This treasure hunter spent two years and almost $3 million searching and will receive NOTHING in return. It's not a lot of treasure compared to the Billions that have been found, but this treasure hunter would have recovered at least $90 million.
@Mark-xv5lb
@Mark-xv5lb Жыл бұрын
That's not a Florida law. It's universal. A naval ship of any country remains the property of that country forever.
@theylied1776
@theylied1776 Жыл бұрын
@@Mark-xv5lb no, that's not true. There have been billions claimed from Spanish flag ships carrying gold that were lost in hurricanes off of the coast of Florida. Those treasure hunters were allowed to keep 30%.
@Mark-xv5lb

@@theylied1776 Check out the Spanish frigate off Assateague, MD. That's an older case. If it's a merchant, it's one thing, but if it's naval it's not. A more recent example is the looting of British WWII wrecks in the Pacific.

I don't feel so jolly about this. It strikes me as another wealthy person continuing to make a disproportionate environmental impact. First, it was the plastic bags, now, it's taking out these large ships to search for lost treasure. Imagine the amount of fuel alone these things use. It appears he's done some positive things for the island, but the world is not bettered by finding sunken treasure. It's just an amusing side show that comes at the cost of needless environmental impact for the pleasure of a few.
