@Rock When ambushed in DDS, your characters revert to their human forms unlike the usual auto-transform. In order to arm themselves from the ambush, you (the player) must order them transform (by choosing the Transform command, duh). Hence, "bring the fight". You bring the fight by starting the actual fight.

@@ashtonsomethingsomething9940 sometimes it can be a good thing that you start the battle detransformed. Enemies can't abuse your weaknesses and there are enemies weak to gun. You should still transform at least one party member though.

In situations like this, I would keep Serph/Argilla human and transform the others. Also helped that I gave them the most powerful bullets. I was able to thwart Jinana on my first playthrough because I decided to revert Serph (without realizing humans are immune to Expel attacks). The joys of being a shooter fan's first RPG, I suppose!

I love the beginning of this track. it's all good, but the beginning is inspired. like they were just chilling in a garage getting ready to practice their new song, and they get jumped by some local hoodlums. in the garage.

thank you. sometimes I have words to share, I am glad they resonated with you. I really like this track in general. the atmosphere of this game was top notch for what games I played over the lifespan of the ps2. the cell shading and the soundtrack still make this work stand out even if it kind of fell flat as a game. I was very disappointed by the game but will always fondly remember the scenery and the soundtrack. serious business.

@@billclinton2165 I never played DDS yet. Still playing nocturne & will probably play that next. I got into this series because of Stickman Sham & when I heard some of the smt series soundtracks, I was like wow I need to hear more of this. The first smt music I remember hearing was the smt1 boss theme & was looking for it for 5 years & never knew I would get into the series which has been a blast. SMT 1 was not my first smt game. Raidou was the game that got me into the series & beat it & I'm already liking the second raidou game. Overall the SMT games have some banking soundtracks.

@@keybladewar22 I would suggest the dds saga first if you want to play both, to be honest, it's kind of a watered down nocturne mechanically. DDS does a lot of great things, and I think it was pretty influential regardless of its overall popularity. as far as gameplay, it pales in comparison to nocturne. but yeah, the soundtracks...they take these games seriously. if you have any inclination to ever play persona, I say start with 5. I have yet to play it for long, but Atlus put a lot of blood sweat in tears into that game, you can see it even on a few hours of gameplay. I think mainline suffered because of the popularity of persona, as V just wasnt great beyond visually. time will tell eh? raidou eh? I always saw those games every time I went to gamestop after discovering nocturne there back in the day (after having played both personas released at the time), but for whatever reason, they never appealed to me. I like the idea of setting at least the one game I the 1920's, it's an unexpected choice from a western perspective. I think they pulled it off too. Atlus is nothing if not aesthetic.
