I mean, there's a only a huge amounts of spin offs for a serie that has less recognition of it's mainline series. If that's not making you happy I suggest looking up bands that fit this genre of music and trust me. There aren't many. Check out the band deftones. Their music moves in so many different ways. It can be a hard riff with a melody of ambiance to your would with a slap of bass. The bass however is sort of almost used as a secondary. I believe this is due to the vocals. They even use a synthesizer since their first album that was released in 1995... Hmm 🤔 who else uses that in their soundtracks? It's as if similar minds of this style of art in music. About as close outside of these games that you will get this satisfying heavy and soft metal sound. That being said. There will be obviously a difference that is noticable. But honestly, maybe Tool can get away with it with low standards of comparison? That band too reminds me of a certain style of creativity. But ultimately you can't replicate the OST's of these games. You can sense how raw and gritty it is but still retaining a soothing sound. Just not something most bands can replicate.
