RE the sunslag, the polyps are actually what regenerate and they have a random chance to be a bulb when cleared out. Anywhere those polyps are, even if you didn't find a bulb the first time, is a contender for returning to. I would probably mark down any location with a high density of struts/polyps, not just locations you've been successful.

15:57 i'm not sure you noticed, but bep was selling 2x 8's for 93 drams each. whenever i go to Bep, i always check if he has any 8's. It just seems wrong to visit him and not buy any 8's he has.

The 8s aren't particularly rare once you get antimatter cells coming in, it's the 6 and 7 I prefer to buy now :)

Hi just started playing CoQ and notice you have a toggle that removes the map area to only displays items on the floor 0:14 please can you explain how I can activate this. I've looked in all the settings but don't seem to find it. Is it a MOD? As a new player I would find this option invaluable. Many thanks. Ah yes. Fight an assortment of monads, crungles, occasional mirror bugs and freaking star krakens... and you get a floating ball that makes baboons like you. That totally seems like a balanced and appropriate reward. You can eat the Crystal Delight as a mutant. Chimeras have sometimes been immune to it and to the Cloaca Surprise, but that's been changed back and forth, not sure how it is right now. I'm pretty sure the sunslag bulbs never refill, but the polyps regrow as long as they have struts to grow on. So you can re-explore the same safe screen regularly and find new bulbs once in a while. That's why the Yd Freehold is ideal, it's got eight screens right around it and usually those eight screens are safe (they surround a settlement). And since you recoil there regularly, it's cheap and easy to autoexplore those screens (just gotta step on a polyp so the autoexplore realizes they have regrown). Nice work on Rermadon! Looking forward to the next 6. The two times I randomly found Shug'ruith's lair, it was located in the SE region of the map, below the Palladium Reef. But of course there are a lot of places it can spawn, so you can't count on him being there every time. The prompt displays as "a yawning pit".

I think I was confusing the crystal delight, with cloaca surprise and how Truekin can't eat it. In that case I guess I'll do that and turn us into a crystal at some point! I normally find Shug'ruith through trash divining or by chance. I think the past couple of times I've killed them on this channel I found them by total accident.

Have you done, or would you want to do a video or series on the different abilities and/or mutations and how to best use them? As a beginner to Qud this seems so esoteric that I don't know what's good or bad or why

Yes this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. A series going over each mutation for example, and how they work and what they pair well with.

You ever turn in so many books at once that it bugs out and doesn't give you credit? I handed in 246 pounds of books the other day, and after a minute of "processing" the game just said screw it I can't count that high, just pretend it never happened. So I got no xp and no books. Anyways, loving the videos, bud. My Qud addiction is in no small part thanks to your videos. Also, just fyi you can't proselytize a stunned or dazed creature (ala the cherub)

Request if you haven't already. I believe you have the programmable recoiler? Go back to the alchemist and start going to him like tilli. No idea if you can clone him or if his inventory replenishes.

His inventory unfortunately doesn't restock, and I don't think any clones will stock anything (I haven't tested this second bit)

@Rogue_Rat yes premium silves this. Except for videos made for "kids player" or whatever its called. Can't play those unless the video is fully open. And apparently "members first " only play when the vid is open
