I recently bought a Meade 70mm astrograph. Have not had a chance to use it. I am coming over from DSLR and going to a OSC ASI533MC. I have an ASIAir Pro I need to get set up with my EQ6R mount. I feel kind of lost right now but getting everything together and hopefully soon get some nights of testing done. Love your channel guys.

Beauty! I imaged this for the first time last month and it has become one of my favourite targets. My 4 year old named the Jelly Fish Jeff 😋 He wanted to know why he lived in space though and if it was because he had died 🥺 Only managed to get an hour in B6 sky in Ha so need some more time next year to get a final image. What I would give for a good location to setup for the night away from the town! Keep doing what you doing 🙏😍

Love your desert location! Wish I could image with such an open sky and little obstruction to the horizon. In doing NB imaging with multiple filters, I have found 4-5 hours data is really the bare minimum. If you go 10-12 hours or more, your signal to noise ratio should greatly improve. Hard to do away from home though, I know.
@GalacticHunter
@GalacticHunter 4 жыл бұрын
Yes we usually do 4 hours minimum for each target (although we've sometimes done 3 hours and it can be enough depending on the object and sky quality) but we definitely want to add more to this next year.

How do you like the meade telescope.... is it worth the upgrade from the Orion telescope?
@GalacticHunter
@GalacticHunter 4 жыл бұрын
It is very different from the Orion telescope, we are 100% in love with the Meade telescope and are so happy to have it, it is perfect for large targets and nebulae in general, the Orion is also excellent, and less pricy, but requires collimation, a coma corrector, and is good for everything but large targets (as they won't fit in the frame unlike for the Meade). Check out our video about the Meade here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmKqaoNooJeHf8k and don't hesitate to email us if you have any questions!
