I built the Bike...I originally purchased the 96 FXSTS in North Dakota. Brought it back and customized it while living in Az. Sold in to a friend in Casa Grande Az. Slicky Mitch. It ended up in California. The Tank came from Original SSMc Member out of West Hell Tucson Az 1970s. Lots of History on this bike. Laid it down in 2013 on interstate i8. Ill never forget it. I have lots of before and after pictures of the progress. Whoever owns it now. Cheers! I spent most of my rides on her with the throttle wide open. :-)

No Evo motor should ever take that much effort to fire. Even with a bad tune on my Mikuni mine would always fire first crank. Got my jets and needles set all properly at the mechanic and she would cold start off the choke. I think you need to invest a few minutes looking that carb over my friend, the Evo was the best motor ever made and having it run in that condition is a disservice to the harley enthusiasts

Nice bike. Question..... I don't want to bug you too much for details but if someone was new to the idea of buying a bike of this type, what would be your strongest suggestions for what to watch out for....Quality checks and reliability... and what is the price range a buyer should expect to pay? Thanks.

In Today's world, what makes it a Harley are the motor cases. replace those with after market cases, you no longer have a Harley. I'd leave your bike alone, ride it and enjoy it.

It means at his dealership, the mechanic has agreed to work on it. Most bikes that are this changed around, it's hard to find anyone to work on them, even chopper shops

@@HuntingHarleys Well, not talking Ford Cobra, and it doesnt matter with a Harley because they don't hold their value any more.
@HuntingHarleys2 жыл бұрын
@@madjack956 The days of waiting 3 years for a new Harley are long in the past. Anything new production with few exceptions goes into depreciation (loosing value) for roughly 30 - 40 years after which they might become collectable. You obviously are completely unaware of the amazing prices antique Harley's command today, even shovelheads and choppers. One requirement, has to have an original frame and original set of motor cases.
