Newport's more interesting. You have Balboa island, the bluffs, Lido island, a large boating/sailing community, and some history.

If you're a "boaty" person and have some money, Newport's for you. If you don't mind living more as a flatlander and like to surf, Huntington is the ticket.

Lots More but more relaxed Newport Beach; Pier Fashion Island!!
