Thanks for putting that together for us man. I've learned more worthwhile things watching your videos than I did during all 4 years of my undergraduate degree. The fact that you put this content out for free speaks volumes about the type of person you are. Stay safe and happy hunting!

everything you know is worth thousands and yet you share it for free I really respect that also I have a few videos I think would be cool one makeing and maybe hunting with a Pacific Northwest paddle bow or I would like to see if you could make a survival bow and see if you could actually survive with it

You are one of the best. Thank you for everything you do for us beginners. The rock I ordered is great. There wasn't a way to say that where I ordered it. All of you flint knappers make it look easy, I know it is like training for a long ruckmarch, I have to build the muscles specifically needed for flint knapping. What a journey it will be.

thank you very much. Very glad to help and best of luck on your knapping journey

Well Done! Thank you for making the vids and then organizing them. I am TOTALLY AMAZED at your skills. People need to understand that those skills are self taught. Truly amazing. Well done! 👍🏻

This directory is awesome! I recently bought one of your flintknapping sets and 10lbs of chert to start learning how, and this is going to be immensely helpful in getting started. You're very, very good at explaining key points and aspects of the craft that I never would have even considered, and being able to easily find that sort of content is going to be amazing going forward. Keep up the good work!

Hello Gill. Thanks for sharing all this knowledge with us. Especially considering all this knowledge is free. I just want you to know that I appreciate your work. One question though, can you make a horn bow?
@huntprimitive99184 жыл бұрын
thank you very much. I have never made a horn bow. That is one of those projects that I would like to have several under my best before I gave any instruction on building.

Came to the latest hoping to get a question through to Ryan that might make a descent little video. Cherokee fetching is something I have seen you do on atlatl darts. What is your take on them with arrows and are darts any better or worse with a three wing fetching? I'm sure multiple experiences exist here, and I'm happy to have any feed back.
@huntprimitive99184 жыл бұрын
3 fletchings for arrows have been consistently better for me. I have done many 2 fletch arrows, but I prefer the 3 fletch

Hey Ryan. I really like all of your content and have been wanting to start flint knapping. I can't seem to find the answer on your website, but do you ship stone to Canada?
@huntprimitive99184 жыл бұрын
we can, but the flat rate boxes are pretty expensive to ship over the border. You can get a quote if you email huntprimitive@gmail.com thanks

i really enjoy the video and i was i could support you by buying knapping equipment and an atlatl i need to get one and id love to support you tell me when you can ship to uk and i will be sure to order your products
@huntprimitive99184 жыл бұрын
thanks very much. Shipping international has been very difficult for us and on average we lose money in general because many of our items are returned as violations of customs policies. We are unfortunately only accepting international orders for books, stone knives, knapped points, t shirts, and knapping kits. Any of those inquiries can be made to huntprimitive@gmail.com for accurate shipping quotes. Thanks much and sorry for the inconvenience.

can you show how to find flint in the woods please im having trouble finding it myself
@PrimitiveTim4 жыл бұрын
Find a rock, bust it open. It's either Flint or it's not, repeat. Look in areas with heavy erosion like rivers, ditches, dirt roads. Google of any is commonly found in your area. Don't give up. Ryan isn't this successful because he's a quitter.

How do you make a directory? Ha! Couldn't help myself.
@lunkydog4 жыл бұрын
It's got to be frustrating knowing you've put out the information in a public format previously and they don't even attempt to look before asking you to do their research. Probably the kind that cheated on tests in school.
