Just a quick tip - step back about 12" - you're right into the screen and it makes it a bit too close .Good review - it reminds me of the toy FN rifle I had as a kid in the 50 - 60's.

Yep. I went through a few of those Airfix "NATO Rifles" and their Tommy guns with the plastic bullets in the 60s. They go for silly money when they turn up on Fleabay. The Johnny Seven was the one to have though.

We also got those Airfix FALs here in the states, we often wondered as kids if such a rifle actually existed, until a friend of mine introduced me to the SOF magazine, Yep they exist and had become a fascination with me, and I own a SLR, I use it for a deer rifle. Just another old Marine out of Florida USA.

I spent a short time in the TA from 1980-82 passed out on the SLR at Middlewick Ranges… as I joined as a Gunner in the RA I drove the V8 Tunny so was issued the Pistol as well. I enjoyed using a full powered rifle and had cheek/shoulder bruises to show for it until I got used to the recoil…I’m now reduced to a Weihrauch 45 and a Crosman 2240 which I modified with a steel breech and ratcatcher barrel… I don’t get to use them much as I don’t have a garden..

I had an FN G1 back in mid 80's it cost me £415 brand new, it was so accurate figure 11 at 600 yds was possible with the open sights, it broke my heart to just hand it in after the ban, but happy days before that

I have quite a few bb guns but I prefer pellet guns and this would have to be in pellet form and be pumping out around 10ft lbs for me to consider buying it, looks nice though.

So.. I guess this one kinda got a small hype on/by Replica Airgun Lovers at some point as these got listed online.. But yes, seems as if this was just kinda "alright" or "okay". Dunno the prices of these though. Seems to have a 7.5lb DAO trigger, with nice extra movimg parts, which sadly don't do much. And kinda sad to see the adjustability on the sight ain't enough. Would be though interesting to see what causes the lack of adjustability. The barrel might be slightly off parallel with the receiver and handguard or so..?..making the BBs fly totally off at longer distances. I know I own an old cheap chinese break barrel rifle that can be scoped - but is useless to do do because the front barrel itself is so crooked to the left that hits won't land within the scope's visual range.😂 Overall seems like a nice, working BB rifle, but I personally would not buy one.

looks like a mix of L1A! SLR and FAL PARA with some aftermarket parts like the dust cover, wouldn't mix the 2 in real life as one is inch pattern and the other is metric, so things are sized slightly different. not even the mags are interchangeable in the real deals... its not stopped people doing Frankenstein builds with very poor results .. your right about us old and bold would love an SLR to put on the wall though...

@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 thanks for the reply, it seems a bit over the top to put a scope rail on a smooth bore co2 air gun! i had a look on line and the "uk" style bits are an option and it goes for about £250, i have also seen it with wood furniture on good if you want the operation "banner" look

I could go one of those in my man cave: it's close enough to an SLR, which I used for 10 years in army competitions, though my personal weapons were an SMG and 9mm Browning HP. I really liked my SLR.

Quite a good lookalike to the British SLR, but probably based on the auto Fal FN, especially with that cocking lever. It's a shame they made it a Co2, though. There is loads of room in that stock for a wraparound, the barrel air cylinder. Diana did the Mauser, made in China. It should have been done with this, the Lee Enfield and Mosin Nagant lookalikes.

I have to say - having used the SLR for 13 1/2 years (and the FN FAL occasionally) this is a nasty looking thing……it’s neither one thing or the other. As replicas go………it isn’t.

Only problem is the cops can't tell the difference when they are aiming real guns at you as these look far to realistic. One look at that where I live and the neighbours will call the armed response unit. Your choice.... Definitely not mine

@cedhome7945 I have some fine neighbours and it is perfectly legal to shoot UK legal airguns in your garden as long as you stick within the UK airgun law. I have had the police around a few times and I have shown them some of my collection. They seem happy and I’ve had no problems with them.
