Good video, but I would have liked it if you talked about how the switches felt - heavy, light, smooth, scratchy, wobbly, stable, etc.

Thank you. I’ll take note for next time! For this video the v3 pro mini uses razor’s yellow v3 switches. Very smooth, silent and comes in at 45g. 5g lighter than the tactile. Same travel distance than the tactile, but has an actuation point of 1.2 mm, 0.8 mm less than the tactile for that quicker response time. The mini is an absolute beast of a machine for gaming, if you don’t mind the meh sound.

@@AuziFox I've just bought a Huntsman V3 and I'm not super sold so far. The performance is amazing, but the keys sound so bad and the keys are also quite uncomfortable coming from my previous keyboard. How does the BW V4 compare in terms of key comfort for the yellow switches? I'm considering swapping, or at least buying a BW V4 to compare.

⁠​⁠@@McMojozwhat was your previous keyboard? The orange tactile switches on the BW V4 are growing on me a lot. Coming from linear (yellow) switches. Almost as satisfying as popping bubble wrap. That and the sound is way better. I’d highly recommend the BW V4 if you’re into comfort and sound over raw performance.

@@AuziFox My previous keyboard was a coolermaster quickfire TK. It's very old now, had it 10+ years. It was cherry mx red switches. I noticed the BW V4 doesn't ship with linear (yellow) as default but instead the orange I believe (at least here in the UK). I read that yellow is closest to cherry mx red, which I really liked. Did you ever go back to the Huntsman V3 at all?

@@McMojoz ended up returning it. Orange tactile switches have also grown on me which made the choice that much easier. If you do end up going with the BW, I'd recommend getting screw in stabilizers. Also, if you're wanting to swap out keycaps, razers phantom keycaps are compatible. Just uploaded a quick video on it.

Definitely understand the Blackwidow comparison sound wise but you lose the main selling point of this keyboard. That it has analog optical switches with rapid trigger and full actuation adjustment down to 0.1

Razer Huntsman V3 Pro doesn't have hall-effect switches. They're Optical.

@@mandrewraeth Yes because most people know what hall effect means as in the features it offers and have no idea what analog digital is. Same exact usability but there are so many better options on the market. The huntsman performs great but feels and sounds horrible unfortunately

Just released September 21 of this year. No white version that I'm aware of. There's a mercury white version of the original. It's going for around $50-$100 If you're into the v3 pro but want white aesthetics, there are white phantom keycap I recommend checking out. They retail for $34.99 but I've seen them as low as $19.99 on ebay.
