It's frustrating having to scower through dozens of youtubers who "Light Night Scenes" by just making everything Dark, and blue, to finally land on a video such as this one. One with legitimate DOP's, Gaffers, and credentials. Great work, and I can't believe this is free. Absolutely considering the course.

I’m always shocked by the size of lights used for nighttime. An M8 is bright! You can ND, stop down, match fill light but it just seems like a lot still. Big toys for big boys I guess. I’m like get the 1K, but an FX6 is a monster

I don't understand why did they add "half green" to the Arri lights, he said that after mentioning a 1.3 magenta in another light. Would appreciate a lot some more info on this 🙏

I think that your instructional video's are excellent! But I think most of your viewers, including me... cannot afford the equipment that are using in your tutorials. Perhaps your videos could include some alternative (creative) ways to accomplish similar effects on a lower budget.

Anyone can do this when you have major budget.. Give me a budget for all the lights and gaffers and I'll create something just as good if not better.... Money is the bottom line.
@RogueNoble4 жыл бұрын
You can have a ton of money and professional gaffers and still have terrible lighting. The principles here are the same whether you're using an Arri M18 or Aputure 300d.
@liquidmocofilmsllc49154 жыл бұрын
@@RogueNoble No they are not. Completely different world. Physics and the inverse square law begs to differ. If it were the same why don’t these pros use all 300ds to save the producers a ton of money?

@@liquidmocofilmsllc4915 Not everyone is interested in low budget solutions. Go somewhere else if you care for that type of information.
@liquidmocofilmsllc49153 жыл бұрын
@@AyechinoProd of course missing my point! Let me spell it out for you. ANY PERSON can do this with those type of resources!! Idiot
@anthonycedar73 жыл бұрын
@@liquidmocofilmsllc4915 That is entirely untrue. It is not about the fixtures, but more about lighting knowledge. I would say a skilled director of photography could create the same result with any light and any budget. It doesn’t matter what your budget is, as long as you know how to shape and control light, you can do anything. Of course, higher end equipment is always better, but it doesn’t matter as much as people think. Shane has made many videos where he has gotten great videos with cheap lights.
