In 2015 Mike did to a botched up Stage Dive off a massive stage, he misjudged the fall and landed hard, he continued the set but the next night he was in a wheelchair at the beginning of the show, but still performed like a pro.

Great reaction!!! this is one hell of a song, definitely in my top 5 FNM songs, I also used to have a pet catfish called JIzzlobber, just saying 😂
@roxannemitchell41192 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that great reaction, so glad you enjoyed both 😎 this song is probably FNM's heaviest song and also very much a fan favourite so we've been looking forward to your reaction to it, just awesome and so glad you appreciate this amazing band and their music ❤️

The whole Phoenix Rising 93 show is amazing. It's the last show with Jim Martin. The energy never stops.

I was there… and again in 95 and 97. All three Phoenix performances were incredible. I was at the front for all three and only went to the festival for one day each time for FNM (got the bonus of Public Enemy on the same day in 95 too!). Met MP in ‘95 - such a nice guy!

Great reaction! Thanks for doing the studio and live. I recommend checking out another band with Mike Patton Tomahawk, especially these 3 songs God hates a Coward - live tv version, Birdsong - studio version and Captain Midnight - studio - Patton did the voice of The Darkness in the video game and the song was used for the end credits I believe. 👍

Fun fact that was Jim Martin’s (guitarist) final performance before he got kicked out of the band.

Retrovertigo is just one of many songs in Mike Patton's discography that go great with the morning Weedies.

And yes, they are very influential for avenged and a lot of bands, I saw an interview with avenged sevenfold, and he was specifically saying how challenging it was to cover Mike’s vocals on retro vertigo, once you dig into the gentle art of making enemies you’ll hear a bit of how they influenced System of a Down

I other performances he does frontflips. The kind where he had no intention of properly landing them. He did this from 92-95. He would just front flip right on to his back get up and do it again. And actually in the reunion shows around 2010 he did a flip onto the drums.

Man you're a classic with an infectious smile! So glad you enjoyed this one! I noticed that you're not a fan of flashing lights (no need to explain), so I'll try and keep that in consideration when requesting videos in the future. Keep chugging along, there's soo much Patton to discover! 'I hide the dirty minutes under the dirty mattress and they making me itch - my time, is spilt milk'.

Awesome song, great react. Thanks 😁 If you want to move on from FNM and Mr Bungle there is Tomahawk, Fantomas, Peeping Tom, Dead Cross, Lovage, Mondo Cane and so much more. This rabbit hole is deep and wonderful.

That was a great live performance I hadn't seen. Never sure what you'll get with a live FNM vid. Patton had such a love-hate relationship with that band. When he wasn't feeling it he would just give the most phoned-in lackluster performances, they can be hard to watch. This one was amazing though.

Since you mentioned Darby Crash, and no concern for equipment or surroundings, check Mr. Bungle's video for "My Ass Is On Fire" I promise you're gonna be blown away!!

If Hell had a soundtrack, Jizzlobber would be the 1st track and last track on that album. Patton put himself through complete Hell back in 92/93 that as a frontman he was completely untouchable, I’m pretty sure he suffered with shinsplints back then. When Jim played them last notes, his time in FNM was over. My mate was at this gig.

@@hurm1t974 sweet! Digging the Bungle and Faith content, both bands were Extremely influential and really don’t get much credit, However they do get a lot of credit from actual bands and musicians themselves, for me back in 1989/90-ish they opened up for Billy Idol, Faith that is, and we parked next to the tour bus, drank beers and partied with the guys when they were young up-and-coming, Epic was getting quite popular commercially at that time, super cool guys, love their music, what I hope you catch as you go through their tunes is just how diverse they are, they are certainly a hidden treasure in music and if you can digest it all you will be rewarded greatly, and Bungle, all I’ll say is wait until you get a load of those cats😳🍻
@FNMCaffeine2 жыл бұрын
Angel Dust the best album of the 90's... Bold statement but IMHO it is. So influential. You should do a Studio and Live version of Caffeine.
