Ghost is definitely different to what anyone expects. They aren't highly technical, Tobias neither growls nor is he an operatic singer. But what he's doing is pretty unique nowadays. He somehow mixes the 60s and 70s with modern sound and with themes that go deeper than what they appear on the outside but yet at the same time doesn't take himself too seriously. They're sort of like a modern, evil Blue Oyster Cult. James Hetfield is a huge fan and so is Tobias of Metallica.

Coincidentally, Ghost was the band that opened for Iron Maiden on their 2017 US tour that I went to... the 2nd time I saw Ghost in concert - their whole stage was decorated like the interior of a church w/ Papa Emeritus overseeing the congregation 😈

His voice sounds like a mix between a demon and and angel. 🤘 I wish you would just start from the beginning and work your way through the discography, but if not, then I recommend Ritual from their first album. 🤘

Yeah a deep dive from the beginning would be a cool way to get the evolution of the band’s sound. Ghost guitar solos are almost always beautiful, they have some talented ghouls playing with them.

I do like a lot of Ghost stuff, I think they’re really underrated and under appreciated. Wouldn’t say I like it ALL…. But could definitely listen to their albums and really enjoy them.
