Since the documentary film was released in USA, I think Pablo's film will be aired outside of Philippines too. Though we hope that streaming platforms pick them up. For me the albums are one album with Alon as Side A, and Laon as Side B He just exudes a LEADER aura/vibe/feeling even with him just standing. I can't make up my mind if I like "Wala" with or without the distortion bit towards the end of the song when it's performed live. I'm find with both but I can't say if I prefer one over the other. How about you? Congrats to Pablo! He just won Composer of the Year Hall of Fame Village People award! Don't forget to take care of yourself too girl!

I love that he split the albums, because mixing them would defeat the purpose of telling his story. Also, everything he does, he really thinks about the details and i love it! U can tell he doesnt release just anything for contents. ❤also ya i dont think he is unapproachable more like he can be intimidating. I was told the same thing. Also he has a bit of RBF to be honest but his got such a beautiful smile.. ugh and you’re right! A book! He needs to write a book! He is also my favourite writer/composer. I still feel he is underrated. Also H, I hope all is well. Im also feeling down here and there.. but i listen to his music and I get reminded theres a light at the end of this tunnel :)

It is amazing how watching PABLO and SB19 could help us. We initially just wanted to inject some breather from our thoughts by watching their clips but ended up feeling better and motivated. They are a blessing to many by doing what they love to do. I watched UNA, the short film, twice. Both times I cried for PABLO’s character. Truly thought-provoking.

I am grateful for the Pablo that we have today. He had to go through so much, but he has come out better and stronger. His trials have now become a source of inspiration for many. He is saving lives. The film is only around 20 minutes. But those 20 minutes have started so many questions and a hunger for more. However, a part of me feels that if there were more and everything gets explained, it would take away from the experience. I want an Una: The Musical in the future. Music and story by Pablo. And maybe special screenings with him as the lead. That would be amazing.

I was watching a film review by an A'tin KZbinr, Chachi, where she mentioned that there was an Easter egg in the movie and then she mentioned Pagtatag. It was only when she mentioned it that I realized what it was. It was in the Pagtatag Finale concert, at the end when they showed the teaser to the third EP, Simula At Wakas. Una is supposed to be a prequel to Pablo's two albums but now the Easter egg got me thinking how this film's lore is gonna connect to SAW. Arggh.

First time he performed Wala and it is striking! Can also totally relate with Pablo, being an introvert and doing small talk is completely a struggle and often misunderstood as snob or you don't care but actually you just don't know what to say. lol. It's a skill. One of the many reasons why I admire and appreciate Pablo not just as an artist but as a person is he walks the talk and living it. Him sharing his hardships and struggles and his vulnerability through his music makes him more relatable, authentic, genuine and a risk taker. He is unique, a breath of fresh air and a gem in this saturated industry.

I already knew Pablo and I are similar in a lot of ways (characteristics, way of thinking - too many deep thoughts, processing, analyzing - to a point of over analyzing sometimes, learnings that can be shared to others, etc.). Which is why I relate more to him and his lyricism has seeped deep in my bones. Same as Pablo, I give the same aura to people that I'm unapproachable and intimidating they say. I think it's because of the hardship and experience that a person (who is a serial analyzer and problem solver) went through will always reflect in someone's face...especially in what they call resting face. In order to overcome depression, the 2nd thing that's important to do is to be honest with yourself and owning up to your feelings. And bec of that honesty, you can't really pretend to always just be happy when you don't feel like it. And the fact that other than being shy, it's also having a very limited social battery also plays into it. When, I was young, the term that was always used on me is that I always look very serious. And I think, those are all that adds up to why that's how he projects to other people.

Like you, I appreciate how he split his albums, distinguishing themes such as agony, hope, the struggle to create change, self-acceptance, and resisting external forces beyond our control.

TBH, I was actually relieved that the film was 20 minutes instead of the 40 minutes that a friend told me that it would be. I'm not a drama fiend as dramas are such downers for me , while it would be cathartic for others. Expecting a 40 minute film, I was taken by surprise when the credits started rolling. I was initially puzzled by what transpired then I just concluded that we are left to our own imagination to come up with what happened in between the time jump. I don't think that saying that there is a time jump is a spoiler. Anyway, days later, it hit me that the movie filler that I formed in my head for the time jump is a bit similar to an M. Night Shyamalan movie because there are elements in that movie that are similar to UNA. I won't say which movie it is as it may spoil someone even if the Shyamalan movie was barely watched.

I don't agree with the translation of "Ate Chona" as the American "Karen", because Karen depicts someone who is so entitled to the point of irrationality, and Ate Chona is more of someone too serious that he doesn't jump in with a group's jokes. I would rather translate Ate Chona as "straight-laced".

I agree. “Ate Chona” is different from a “Karen”. As what his SB19 brothers said about him lots of times before. That he has this what they called RBF (Resting Bitch Face). He didn’t have a smiley face because he’s a shy person. I understand that because I’m that person. But I can see that he really tries to change because I see him being happy and smiley these days.
