The hurricane, which is now a Category 2 storm, has left nine people dead, including two reportedly in Jamaica.

Its not 1/2 of the island, it's only 400k people according to the electric co. Also, everyone was told about the hurricane for more than a week now. Most people already left, and the airlines had extra flights, but these people decided to stay. What did they think was going to happen after a Category 5 hurricane?
