That's not counting the 26 billion or so that was approved a few months back, or the yearly 3 billion "allowance" that they will get regardless of whether something happens or not. If I was American, I'd be miffed.

yup that is the way the US rolls sadly~ the US Congress enjoys the millions of dollars given to them by AIPAC, Weapons Industry, and corporations rather than working for the people of the US.....check out Citizens United.....allowing this to happen...Most of the people sitting in the US Congress are told what to do by their overlords who give them money/bribes for their votes....we don't live in a Democracy........

The funds are being used for a variety of needs, including emergency supplies like food and water, as well as housing assistance for those whose homes were damaged. Additionally, FEMA has deployed over 7,000 personnel to assist with recovery, including search and rescue operations. Relief efforts are still expanding, with more resources being distributed as affected areas continue to recover. For example, North Carolina alone received over 40 Starlink units to help restore communications, and more units are being deployed to other states. This financial and logistical support is crucial as the region rebuilds after the hurricane’s devastating impact .

That's a one time payment of 750 , everything else is going to the insurance companies so that they don't back out of their policies. Maybe you should read what's in the package of 45 million. There's a little over 1.8 million as direct payment to the people and the rest is ngos and insurance companies. If you don't know about the ngos involved their the same ones who are working on the homeless crisis out west of which only 5% of the funds received need to be distributed while the rest goes to the employees of these ngos. It's important to know the actual facts fella rather than listen to the liars in the government. What happened to that aid for Palestine Ohio? Oh that's right there was no clean up and a bunch of companies hired to do it didn't. What happened in Lahaina Hawaii? Nothing big investors received money and those who lost everything received nothing. When you talk a big game about the government all you have to do is look back on what they previously did and see that what they did was little to nothing and enriched only a few people and did nothing to serve those who were affected. The fact that you sit here and say nah I'm a liar when you haven't even read over it shows that you like many like yourself are ignorant of the facts and would rather swallow the lies of the state than realize the state doesn't give two hours about you or anyone suffering. They would rather spend OUR money on foreign countries

Trump isn't Lying. I'm close to NC in East TN. Praise Jesus it wasn't worse here but our neighbors in NC need major help. The slow moving gov has already cost probably 1000 or more deaths by not helping this past week. They even prevented relief efforts by threatening to arrest anyone trying to help.
