I absolutely guarantee that anemometer was in a very protected location, and was not out in the full force of that wind!

At 2:26, you can see the anemometer around 30 feet from the camera at two o’clock. This was filmed in a parking lot. It’s very exposed. I had higher wind readings than other chasers in the area.

Well it's at ~1.5 meter height, so you're getting lower winds than you'd get at 10 meters on a regular anemometer.
