Looks like you are in the old Bay Vista area. We are at Olive Artists Acres area. Flooded pretty heavy at huge trees down. Our Sarasota county part of Englewood will never be the same again. East Englewood and Manasota Key not much better. Hope you guys are doing well. I had to go to Tampa stay with my daughter. For several days we were bringing down gas, food, ice and water. One day we drove to a little north of Venice no gas.

Speaking of baby squirrels. We found 11 new new born babies that didn’t make it around our yard as we were cleaning up. We still haven’t seen to this day 10/20 all the squirrels that play all around our yard. Glad we had our trees trimmed over our house the day before. It cost a good amount more but saved us from roof damage.

We have friends that live in Rotonda, FL. We only heard they lost their Lanai covering their pool. I own a home in Bonita Springs, FL where my daughter lives full time. It was untouched. Just a few Palms down.

@@katieson1252 the houses weee in amongst a lot of trees. I’ve seen a video along Manasota Beach Road and that looked to have been hit hard. Has the food, water and power started to recover. I watched a video on Saturday that showed Walmart on Jacaranda Blvd with no fresh fruit or vegetables. My heart is breaking for what you have endured and the damage done to this beautiful area. We stayed on Medalist Road, Rotunda in 2010 and I dread to think what happened there given it was so close to the centre of Ian. 💔

@@michaellennon873 things are gradually picking back up. I was 8 days with power. Some areas are still without of power. Many stores and restaurants are still closed. For the most part larger grocery stores and gas stations are up and running. There have been a lot of government, military and volunteer groups providing water, food, ice, tarps, etc.
