Why do people keep saying things like this? If a divinity wants to bless something or someone, do you need to beg? Or maybe that divinity should make all disasters just stop. And why does anyone stay on a vulnerable barrier island when faced with a major hurricane? I understand the danger. I used to live on Sanibel.

I wish every coastline around the world would stop building within 2 miles of the coast. The most damage done in hurricanes is from the powerful waves that come ashore and demolish and flood everything. Or just make every building the kind with the lower 2 floors a strong parking garage and people can own apartments above or restaurants and businesses can be built above. This would save on people losing their lives or losing everything they own and towns could get back on their feet faster.
@AnnieWarbux2 жыл бұрын
Even elevated buildings aren't that much better... Florida also has a massive sinkhole problem. There is a REASON WHY Native Seminoles Kept their Families on the move through the Seasons! A LOT of Native Nations were on the move, with the Seasons! If ya Live on an Active Volcano, in the Path of Hurricanes, Tornado Alley.... then one MUST BE Responsible, Prepared and Compliant with Warnings & Evac Orders! Or JUST DON'T LIVE THERE! I can't BELIEVE how close to the Water sooo many people have built their Homes and Business! I thought the "Beach Areas" would be bigger... well, Ian sure did add New beach, by DUMPING off Sand!
