i was there. it happened only 1 month after my 8th birthday. im 9 now. my power went out at like 3:00 am. a tree fell down at my apartment. it was my favorite. :(

I was there everything was destroyed I was living on Westhehimer at the time. Trees everywhere and cars everywhere. No power people were going crazy Ill never forget it.

We went through rita in Houston which we were okay being without power for only a few days But ike in 2008 was the very worst for us, for nearly two weeks and a extre half week we were so out of power struggling to get cool off, have good food, gas for our generators which gas was so hard to get here and there got no good sleep, so hot sweating, even with generator running somehow the lights would still go out every now and then, then finally regular electricity turnes back on a while later out of our sinks and bathtubs showers, the water somehow came out green along with our other neighbors forgot how long green water lasted, But my God we were all so tired mad sad arguing at each other till everything went back to normal! Ike was the very worst hurricane I ever went through, recently was Harvey in 2017 and some storm tornado like on may 16 for nearly a hour!
