It makes us as Galveston people sick , after the 1900 storm all that was done took just a few years and not a thing has been done to get moving , the Island still has not even replaced the big sump pumps that take water into the bay

Galveston declined a bit, you can tell by the quality of life, however the city is putting a lot of money into the strand to revive it by the heart, however the city is just waiting for the next hurricane, it’s like why put in to much effort if a hurricane will come eventually

There is no reason for fools not getting things going by now , my lord it didn't take this long to raise Island and build seawall , most of the seawall , but this is stupid still waiting like this and Corps of Engineers need to get help from the Dutch with this there the masters on this nobody in our country alive today can say how to build systems to keep ocean problems out

Thomas Boren you realize it takes billions of dollars to do this and it’s hard to get enough funding for this.
