Hurricane Katrina (8-29-2005) Home Footage

This is some raw unedited footage I shot in and around my apartment building at 3805 Houma Blvd. in Metairie, Louisiana shortly after Hurricane Katrina passed through. I was lucky to have been in Metairie, in a second floor apartment - I was on the west side of the 17th Street Canal where the levees held.

I think most of this complex was demolished. Only vacant land in all of Metairie, actually...

Midnight: This complex, formerly known as 'Camelot Apartments' went condo in 2006 and is still standing, at least it was 18 months ago. Two complexes a few blocks away on Houma Blvd were demolished; 'Houma House' & 'The Jeffersonian'.
