Solivita is also very good, at least so far. Long time residents report little to no flooding or power outages. Utilities are buried and the entire development is elevated above surrounding area.

We live in The Villages, Fl is a very large community, the newer sections south of 466A and west of Morris have burried power lines and did not lose power or flood during Milton.

We fared well here in The Plantaton at Leesburg. Power out for about 16 hours, although some of the areas were out longer. We purchased our home thru Florida Plus Realty.

No place in FL is truly safe. Coast gets surge and wind. Center gets wind and tornados. Key is avoid low areas, nearby bodies of water, under big trees, underground power is a bonus, and have a roof that is in good repair. Flood insurance is pretty much necessary wherever you live.

They are not the only ones with underground utilities.
