Hurricane Reroutes - Intermodal Returns to the Abbeville

The aftermath caused by Hurricane Debby along the Carolina coast forced multiple freight trains to be rerouted across the Abbeville Subdivision in order to reach their respective destinations. This meant that high priority UPS trains would run the Abbeville, and while this was never a regular occurrence, it has happened before. In addition, there were a couple of rerouted manifests that traversed the line, but those both were overnight trains. Nonetheless, I managed to catch 3 of the 4 rerouted intermodal trains that were sent through, making for a nice change in the traffic variety as there are no longer any intermodals that regularly use the line.
We'll also see a few of the regularly scheduled trains, including a military vehicle train with Union Pacific power.

Ouch.....what a punch in the gut. I cannot believe I didn't know about this at the time, I would have gone to Clinton, SC or Greenwood/Maxwell, SC to see this action, especially I031 detouring, I miss the intermodals on the Abbeville and Monroe Sub, there used to be a UPS TOFC train on a regular basis years ago, think it was R191/R192 Atlanta/New Jersey hotshots. I hope that kind of traffic returns when the Baltimore Howard Street Tunnel project is complete for double stacks.
