Unique Void I was in northern new jersey and I had power running water cable everything although there was flooding our house was built up high and my moms friend had to live with u because her house was destroyed

Yes he did. The Shrewsbury River to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east met during Sandy. The town is on a peninsula running up to Gateway National Recreation Area: Sandy Hook where the waters meet just a few miles to the north. This time the waters met over Sea Bright which is only a few blocks wide. Sandy was a "100 year storm" for sure. FEMA had the town secured until early 2013, and maintained a curfew for months afterwards.

i was hear for the hurricane it was pretty intense never been in anything like that and never want to again I had to clean up a lot of the sand in spring lake in was a mess there where houses with 4 feet of sand from the beach cant believe how fast it got cleaned up

I was living in Long Beach island at the time and there was a house with the whole front ripped off of it and it looked like a dollhouse

I survived the disaster I remember going to my neighbor’s house with my mom and my sister while my dad had to work he’s a road paver. Nothing happened to my home except a tree landing on our roof but we managed to get it fixed but our power was out for 2 weeks

Why would anyone leave their vehicle in that parking lot across the street - which is right on the beach - when a hurricane is coming? Buildings can't be moved, but cars and trucks can. So they don't have to be wrecked in a storm.

I know I parked in Rumson. I was on top of the post office. It was a site to behold . 1030pm the whole building surrounded by 8 foot of ocean water.
