Wow I’ll never forget this storm. Worst I’ve been in. I lived in Boca at the time. The winds were ferocious. Lots of damage in all 3 counties! Thankfully we haven’t had anything like it since. Irma we had a lot of trees down but Wilma was much worse. Thx for uploading! I was hunkered down in a closet listening on radio. If you have any other videos from wsvn please upload!! :)

Same, I was in Miramar, FL hunkered in a closet with a portable radio. There were tornados spun by the storm near where I lived and the tree damage was terrible.

This was the second worst I experienced besides catagory 5 andrew. 3rd worse was hurricane Katrina which hit Miami less than 2 month before wilma so we were still recovering from Katrina when wilma slammed us in west kendall Miami dade.

I lived through Andrew and I'll never forget any of that. But during Wilma I was in my Mom's Ford Escape at a rest stop in Port St. Lucia. I was on my way out of Florida for good when this happened! I also had six cats in carriers in the vehicle with me.( They were all facing front, stacked like a kitty apartment and I never stopped watching, worrying and caring for them, also it was just a two day trip to where we were moving to). Anyway, I was terrified, it felt like the vehicle was gonna flip on it's side. I saw an electrical box struck by lightning about 15 feet away from me and flash out a bright white-blue light. When everything was finally calm and we were able to drive away, there were SO many trucks laying on their sides along the road. I was lucky.

I was having a hurricane party in Ft. Lauderdale..e were on the 17th st bridge and we were out on the beach while the eye was coming across.. it was crazy,, all of beach place was covered in sand.. police cars were out but also covered in sand.. we went in the pool at the apartments we were at but when the A.C unit got blown off the building we decided to go inside but looking back it was an amazing experience to be outside in a hurricane but being young and dumb not the smartest idea lol.
