Southern Atlantic tropical cyclones are suppressed mainly by the ITCZ simply not going that far south, plus crazy wind shear. Similar for the south east pacific. Also love me some proper mountains butting up against a TC zone! What I wouldn't give to see that on Earth, but our tropics are simply too flat on the east coasts. Always wondered what would happen if a proper monster storm were to pummel something like the Andes, that would be a mighty wet coastline.

I wonder about hurricane graveyards, though. Like I notice that months after a hurricane in the Mexican gulf, there are these heavy rain strong winds timed at the south west coast of Norway. I know the south west coast gets winds and rains, but it is like 20-25 m/s instead of 10-15 m/s and like twice the rain. Like an autumn or early winter phenomena. This may be mostly a hunch from an engineer though, but I found it worth throwing in.

I have a question about your end goals here: You mentioned at the start of this project that you were planning on having a speculative bio component to the project, I guess what I'm unsure of is how that's going to gel with plopping humans into the world? Was I just misinterpreting what you meant with spec bio in your episode 0 from two years ago? Are you planning on doing + arbitrary humans? Is this going to be a 'the first colonization sites of humans on this world?' This question isn't intended as criticism, I'm just wondering if my expectations for the spec bio portion were misaligned with your aims for that part of the project.

Now, the Eastern part of Ezri with the Cfb, in terms of society, the mountains would insure a great diversity of climate, and seeing your weather event map plus the plate tectonics would infer an environment that is quite hostile with frequent natural disasters, while factors such as upwelling would insure relatively plentiful food. This would probably land itself to a deeply conservative, vertical and conformist culture, that would also put a strong value on generosity. Also, Dfb and Dfc microclimates would create in seditary cultures villages of people with severe bone deformations and osteoporosis from undermineralized water. These societies might thus development a cast system similar to feudal Japan at some point, with higher altitude being seen with negativity, and impure things should be kept on hard stones to avoid soiling the sacred soil.

Do you know the historical model of Philippe Fabry, historionomy It is a model that describes the trajectories of political entities and civilizations With on the one hand the formation of nation-states, with two types of possible formations: Either from an anarchic situation, in this case several then royal states will form in the fertile areas and the one located in the largest plain (or fertile zone) will conquer those located in the geographically and ethnically close plains , until coming up against the zone of influence of another more or less equivalent state, Either from an independence revolution, where a national feeling is created based on the memory of independence, a certain system of justice, and an expansionist desire which will only stop if a greater power comes to break its expansionist momentum . or to the point of coming up against the zone of influence of another state with more or less equivalent power (which with equal population capacity, happens further for states formed from an independence revolution) In both cases, if the country stabilizes ethically, if there is no longer a strong population movement and strong explantations, the different ethnic groups within the country assimilate mutually until they can form a nation, which takes about 600 years of stability, if there are disturbances during this period it delays the formation of the nation in proportion to the severity of the disturbance (for example the 100 years war between France and England delayed the formation of the French nation by 100 years) Once the nation is formed, if the political system finds itself ruined and humiliated (by a lost war most often) this leads to a national revolution with the overthrow or removal of the powers of the old regime the formation of a democratic or oligarchic (census suffrage) system and can, after a surge of conquest and the emergence of a revanchist imperialist (Cromwell, or Napoleon Bonaparte for example), if the country finds itself quickly defeated or suffers a political vacuum, a parliamentary democratic or oligarchic regime is established If the country does not find itself quickly defeated or does not suffer a political vacuum, the imperial or authoritarian system established by the vengeful imperialist continues. And on the other hand, the trajectory of different civilizations depending on geography What he exposes on his channel and in lives that he did for another radio channel Athéna
