HeyvTracy every city and county has grants for buying homes. If it's your first home even better. But the short answer is yes, look for down payment assistance in your city and county and u should be able to find it.

I would like to say I am located in TX. A mentor from my local development center contacted me. He stated no one would give me a grant because I was a brand new business. He stated he didn't know why I thought I could get a grant with no active revenue. The only thing I could get was a loan but that was still unlikely. I'm not a tech company, education or some huge company. I was beyond disappointed.

That’s cool and all however, do they have any grants for clothing line? I apply to mostly of all these grants and they deny me. They only give grants to people that already have a business or to communities. Not for start up business or a clothing line or fashion line, they’re really particular.

Hey Will, great question. Most grants are very specific (not many for fashion) but one you could look into for fashion would be the Levi Collaboratory and Grant Program. Hope that helps.
