Thank you for the perfect demonstration of how this shifter works!

add that with manual steering and manual brakes and parallel parking was so fun in my mustang lol I had the b&m pro stick, same thing with a different name on it. It does what it's supposed to. Trying to decide between another one of these or one of the ratchet shifters now myself. and between manual, c02 and electric solenoid. Full manual or not on the valve body, forward or reverse pattern. So many choices. I still can't decide between a 2spd Powerglide and a 2spd th400. So many damn choices on these things now days

I'm a day away from ordering a b&m ratchet shifter...considering you changed yours what would you say makes the hurst better than the b&m?
@kylecunningham62617 жыл бұрын
AM Auto I think it looks cooler for one. And the ease and speed of the Hurst makes it so worth it. The B&M isn't bad. It's really just preference. But I don't regret switching.

Kyle Cunningham I see what you mean in terms of the convenience of being able to get 1st without continuously ratcheting through all the other gears but its preference like you said

Good job on the video. That shifter can be confusing. I have a much better design, and with over 800 sales, I've never had an unhappy customer. I've sold hundreds for factory shifters, the B&M Pro Stick, and the TCI Outlaw. Even though the Hurst detent plate is welded on, I can make the Hurst Quarter Stick work the same as my other designs, and they are much more user friendly. The Hurst design, and those of others, require you to trigger it to make a safe and positive stop at 3rd when going from 2-3. That sucks because if you don't squeeze the trigger hard enough, or if you release the trigger before hitting the 3rd gear stop, you can easily go from 2nd to Neutral. My design is better in a number of ways. You squeeze the trigger when you pull back from P. You can then release it and simply stop anywhere you want as you pull back. It'll let you go back as far as 2nd. To get to 1st from 2nd, squeeze and pull. To upshift, just slap the handle forward to 2nd. To make the next upshift, just slap it again. You don't have to touch the trigger for either upshift, and you can not accidentally shift into Neutral. Once you're in 3rd, you must trigger it to go to Neutral. This is a great safety feature. Since I have the Neutral lockout feature, some of my customers have chosen to eliminate the reverse lockout feature of their shifter. You can watch how my patented design works on a B&M shifter in the video link below. I also have my True Slap line of detent plates for many 2 and 4 speed automatic shifters. I have almost 30 KZbin demonstration videos now. 573-248-1389 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKaxgKuKmd6LnJIsi=2etlcdzKaJoC6f67

So you can't get back to drive after you get in neutral?
@aquaflocka61198 жыл бұрын
that sucks...you cant even slap it in 3rd !!!

You don't want to incase you shift too early

I agree. Poor design, and it also won't stop you from accidentally shifting from 2-N. I have a much better design that I've patented.

That shifter seems too low and might be better on a pedestal or something.

Sorry but you are wrong in one of the steps. From reverse to neutral you don't have to pull the trigger.
