The #Hurst V-Matic 3 shifter is a front exit cable actuating shifter designed for most 3 and 4-speed automatic transmissions. It is designed with a park and reverse lock trigger actuating system that allows smooth and flawless ratcheting through the forward gears. The universal base design allows for floor mount and can be trimmed to custom fit any floor. The forward exit cable is designed for quick installation and accurate shifting and the reverse lockout trigger feature meets NHRA and IHRA requirements. The shifter also includes a neutral safety switch, backup light switch, a lighted gear indicator, and brushed aluminum Hurst T-handle.

heres how i got my v matic box hurst shifter free take the rubber shroud off metal surround etc from the shifter a few screws here and there ,,, and you will see a gear cog (semi circular) theres a locating steel button that can be lifted with a hefty srewdriver lift it ,,and the cog will be movable back to its original position reset the button on the 1st gear select (low) it now should all work ps i worked it out myself as the guy doing the video didnt get back to me

i have an older shifter on my mud truck....the lock is a T shape. Even with a short arm on trans.....the shifter will not pull back far enough to hit 2nd or 1st.....only drive. Do i have a part not working? it stops at drive and is very firm and will not move back farther

Sounds like it could be an issue with adjustment. Did the shifter properly work at some point? Was it previously dialed in? If not you may want to disconnect the cable from the shifter side and row through the gears to ensure that the shifter is properly working. You may also want to cycle the lever on the transmission side to confirm the transmission is shifting correctly. If both look good then I would recommend to call us at 707-544-4761. Your shifter has a lifetime, limited warranty so I highly recommend making that call. - Jason @ B&M Racing

well...it did work before with old drive train with a turbo350......never ever occurred to me the new 700r4 has extra shift points....my bad. Looks like i need a more modern shifter, this one getting up there in years

matt sez The Hurst V-Matic 3 is designed to work on the 3-speed TH350 or the 4-speed 700R4 with no additional bracketry or hardware needed. The shifter will have a blocker pin that needs to be removed to convert for use on a 4-speed application. If you haven't already take a look at the installation instructions (linked below) and make sure that your brackets are in the correct location, that the shifter is correctly set up and the cable adjustment is right. HI I HAD AN IDIOT SHOVE MY V MATIC AND IT LOCKED SOLID ,,, AND I CANT GET IT OUT OF GEAR IS SOMETHING BROKEN OR IS IT AN EASY FIX THANKS ITS THE LIFT TRIGGER TYPE LIKE IN THE VIDEO THANKS KEITH UK
