I considered addressing situations such as you asked about, when I wrote my initial comment, but figured I shouldn't have to because common sense is: NO PERSON has the right to touch (much less beat) another person if the person being touched (in any way) doesn't want to touched. Any man who beats a woman is a coward-he wants to fight somebody, but knows most men will hit back therefore he doesn't want to take the chance of losing or getting hurt himself so he beats on a woman. That's awesome!! I have been through so much hell these past 4 years! My guy basically did the same thing to me at the 7 year mark, except he made it a little more special, and he ran this con game on me 3 days before we were supposed to get married. He claimed he had to go to jail for 6 months 3 days before our marriage, and I stayed by his side regardless after he left me like that. He got out, and started treating me like garbage! I mean the worst it's ever been! It's clear, he found someone else, I can only hope that he gets his karma, and I can do to him something like that! I guarantee he left me for someone I am either related too, or know. Now if only I can tell him I am taking the money I am owed and running away and he will never have me again. We are constantly fed “Revenge” stories, and say good for him or her. Another tool to have us take sides and judge. I really like reading detective stories, ie; Lucas Davenport, Harry Bosch, and others like that. I really like these characters. However, I notice in every story, it ends with the villain being killed. There was one where the villain was arrested and sent to prison. But the next issue came out and he had escaped, and of course he was killed. I wonder overall what do these revenge stories do to us. How it might affect how we treat each other. I’m not trying to be deep, but think about it. I’m sure there is some kind of effect on us. How about the 911 perpetrators selling us on blaming someone who was probably dead before it happened.
